50:31 Easter Egg

At precisely 4 minutes past 4 and 35 seconds in the afternoon on April 15th, 1999, the Shanghai Seismic Bureau recorded a distinct measurement on their seismographs that appeared to resemble a small 1.6 Magnitude Earthquake in the MingHang district of the city.
At the same time, local Air Traffic Controllers at Shanghai’s Hongqiao Airport are scrambling to re-establish contact with an airplane that has suddenly disappeared from their radar screens.
They look up from their radars and out of the window they catch a view of a plume of smoke rising above the city. A massive airliner that had been on the ground just three minutes earlier, has crashed into a residential district of Shanghai. When investigators arrived at the scene of the crash, none of them could have expected what they would uncover.
One by one, explanations are dismissed. All possibilities are coming up as dead ends. It’s only when the audio data is extracted from the shattered remains of the Cockpit Voice Recorder, that anything resembling a clear explanation for the accident was pieced together. It’s a sequence of events that stuns the aviation world.
