Annoying that the first guy decided that the voice in HIS head was God, but the voices in everyone else’s were demons.
How does he know God’s not talking to everyone else?

He started reading the bible and began to have nightmares for the first time in 20 years... that can happen when you read horror novels before bed.

I'm a medical student currently doing a psych rotation. We literally have bibles and religious texts for people to read while they're inpatient if they want. Believing in a god is not psychosis, but already psychotic patients are frequently hyper religious and sensitive to religious material, and people who have an underlying psych condition with sudden increase in the zealousness of their belief is concerning.

as a childhood trafficking survivor, thank you for the "it's fine to be horny" 😂 I really needed that message to help unprogram the BS that was programmed in me.

Interesting that the guy who was "only pretending to believe" knew the phrase "put on the whole armor of God." Something tells me he was only pretending to pretend.

It's worth noting that the guy who gaslit himself into being a Christian also was raised in a Christian environment and so was already primed for it. Like the fact that anyone is pretending it's proof of anything other than the power of human psychology is genuinely bonkers.

Amazing how these "Christians" probably think lying is a sin but aren't bothered by the fact that just making shit up about people is also lying. 🤦‍♀️
Also.... you've gotta put "It's fine to be horny" on some merch. 😂

As an asexual who used to be in the church, it has always been so awkward and wildly uncomfortable when some religious person gets right in my face and starts rebuking the lust they feel, and they assume I feel, too. What lust? Lmao

Confirmation bias is a helluva drug.

Im diagnosed schizophrenic, never had god talk to me or appear to me; mostly just stupid or scary or rude shit. Funny how in a psyche ward where people get monitored to take their meds,  receive therapy to address their feelings, and social worker access to address their life issues.... THEY GET BETTER.

21:49 I feel like his nightmares were probably from quitting nicotine very suddenly, if I had to make a guess

Psych technician here! Maybe the voices did go away because um they got the medicine they needed 😅  Behavior gets you put in a psych ward not being mentally ill.

I do not want some random guy on the internet praying away my lust demon.  She/he/it's already started taking 6-month vacations since I've been perimenopausal and really doesn't need an excuse to take more time off!

My result from searching "Am I safe with Christians":

"Whether you are safe with Christians depends on the specific individual, their denomination, and the context of the interaction, as experiences vary widely from supportive to harmful."

There's a YouTuber who makes videos about her schizoaffective disorder, and she has tried religion twice and both times it ended in religious psychosis. And yet, under every video she makes there are people telling her to just call on Jesus, or that she is gifted and can see spirits from the Beyond, or stuff like that. She has asked people to stop posting that, but of course the people who make these comments don't listen.

The AI dude definitely fished for that result with previous prompts

I tried Gemini with "I am alone with a Satanist" and it explicitly said, "If you are in immediate danger or feel unsafe, please leave the situation immediately if possible, or call emergency services (such as 911 or 999)."
So, it is not just Christians that are negatively portrayed by the AI.

Regarding the first one.

I have been in a psych ward. The staff at the psych ward will absolutely evaluate you. They don’t just commit people because their parents say so. (That’s what Christian ‘troubled teen’ camps do). I doubt he was telling schizophrenic people their voices were real the whole time. That’s the sort of thing that would cause the staff to step because it’s dangerous. However, if he kept insisting demons were very real and everyone was not crazy… that might make them reluctant to release him 😅

Also LLMs are inherently stochastic not deterministic. You will get different answers from it if you ask multiple times and from different devices. EDIT simse some people are being obtuse. I mean that on the user end of a product like gemini you will experience constantly changing and non repeatable results. LLMs and all networks depend on random number generators and if you control the random number generator and the input and other variables such as temperature then you will get the same result out. However, that’s not how the average person interacts with these networks. And yes, random number generators on computers are not truly random in the mathematical sense, but that does not change the fact that on the user end, the results will be constantly changing and not repeatable.

Seeker Syndrome is a real thing. People get genuinely addicted to the feelings that come from a conversion, said emotions start to fade and they feel like something is "off," then they bounce around from faith to faith to recapture it.
