"why would they use a spaceship"

flashback to when sinestro turned off the rings powers and a whole armarda of rings lands at their feet from all the lanterns that happened to be in space during the event

It's the greatest DC event comic is what it is

Blackest Night genuinely might be my favourite event comic storyline of all time as this storyline was the epic culmination of all the years of masterful build up and world building throughout the entire Geoff Johns GL run which truly felt satisfying to see and seeing all the heroes, villains and characters revived as Black Lanterns was both horrifying and epic.
Black Hand going from a C-list Green Lantern villain to ultimately end up becoming the avatar to the Embodiment of Death and one of the most dangerous villains to also become the catalyst to unleashing one of the greatest cosmic threats onto the entire DC Universe is one hell of a glow up.

It's gonna be larped as much as Secret Wars if it ever gets adapted is what it is

Blackest Night is probably one of my favorite arcs of all time but it only hits so hard because the entire preceding Geoff Johns Green Lantern saga was so good and did SOOOOOO much work establishing the other corps and ran for so long as well. His entire run is legendary

This explains so much. I got a Blackest Night anthology book but I couldn't keep track of what was happening. It felt like the story was jumping from one thing to another with no context. Now I realise that my book is missing small sections of the story. I thought I just didn't know enough to follow it.

"Hal's sidekick asks" Say it. Say his name.

26:08 actually mental that a now an obscure character was one of if not the only person to resist a alien artifact upon death. That's a trophy most can't ever claim in of itself.

And now Nekron is coming back in the Superman comics, I'm pumped as soon as that happens

2:18 someone threaten to expose Abin Sur’s search history during his short patrol on earth. That’s why he was in his way back to earth.

Blackest night falls from the sky,
the darkness grows as all light dies,
we crave your hearts and your demise,
by my black hand, the dead will rise!

Blackest Night is one of my favourite DC stories. It's the main reason why Green Lantern is my favourite DC hero. The Black Lanterns aren't your average brain-eating zombies, they're so much more.

Golden age Black hand, is probably my new favorite lantern villain, just based on his power mind you. Stealing leftover energy from green lanterns is cool.

Geoff John’s did the lords work when he started writing green lantern. My generation born in 99 thought green lantern was a joke of a hero. We all liked John Stewart but thought Hal, Guy, and Kyle was lame af until we read rebirth and secret origin then blackest night.
