I have just learned Wolverine and Sabertooth being brothers wasn’t a real thing!!

18:19 Ironically, Liv's portrayal is Comic book accurate, he even stated he's read the comics and loved the dynamic of Victor being a real bastard to Logan every chance he gets. He's the best part of the movie lol.

He is doing the X-Men films in chronological order.
God save us.

Girl with persuasion powers makes a deal with Striker to do an overly convoluted plan, instead of just persuading him with her persuading powers

I forgive Origins because that introduction montage was one of the coolest things I saw when I was younger

You can’t hide from After Earth forever

"Was it the wars?"
"All of them"

God tier line

The procedure might have taken 15 minutes. But it was molten metal. Fused into his bones

How do the claws look worse than they did in 2000

You can't run from Speed Racer forever, Cody.

Edit: Or Real Steel apparently

I have just learned Wolverine and Sabertooth being brothers wasn’t a real thing.

The intro where you see Wolverine fighting in every single major American war just works for Wolverine. He’s an immortal warrior

14:39 to be fair. 15 minutes of having molten metal cast around your skeleton and cooling sounds like the kind of pain that would give you flashbacks even through your amnesia.

22:33 tbh if I was fighting an angry monster man with amnesia, I would just lie to him and say we were best buds before he lost his memories. Seems like that’s the easier answer than… all of this.

the funniest part about them bending over backwards to to make wolverines procedure voluntary is he was told that by a notorious liar so they easily could have ignored that line and faced no backlash

Liev Shrieber single handedly made this movie watchable. He knew what movie he was in and hammed it up.
Perfect casting, perfect acting. No notes.

11:48 is extra funny when you remember he insisted on his character being able to teleport, directly because he thought nightcrawler looked sick in X2. Which is fair honestly

The X-Men movies should be given props for being the most comic accurate super hero movies. The inconsistent plot, constant retcons, weird characters that no one asked for, and unbelievable cool hype moments are spot on for what the comics like.

I’ll be honest, I kinda like this movie’s version of Sabertooth. I find him more interesting having a personal connection with Wolverine beyond just “crazed savage lunatic who has it out for him”. The brothers idea works for me, and that line about how no one kills you but me has stuck with me longer than it probably should.
