the fact that they have Dr. Doom being played by RDJ is literal proof they could've recast Kang lol.

While watching this trailer, I was reminded of Desmond from Smiling Friends when he looks at the ant on the ground that Charlie pointed out and says, "I mean it is kinda cool....... But it does not make me feel any better."

The problem is that the MCU got bloated too fast after End Game!!

it sucks because they’re gonna use x-men deaths without actually writing a story. they’re gonna hope that everyone watched the originally more written movies so they cheaply undo their endings in their own movies. it feels so soulless but people are so excited about it for some reason. i hope the mcu is completely different post doomsday

marvel powerscaled their universe far too quickly for how long they intended to milk it. now they have to blatantly backpedal to have a chance at winning sheep over with jingling keys

Everything about Doomsday's marketing can be whittled down to: YOU get a cameo! and YOU get a cameo! and YOU!

It feels like a wrestling company bringing back the stars cause business is down. Cap, Iron Man, and Thor seemingly being the main three in this is like the WWE bringing back The Rock, Undertaker, and Cena

"They treat the moment as the point of the scene" is such a great way of saying it. The mcu has become "example of fan hype" vs "example of long term storytelling"

BEFORE we should’ve already gotten: Fantastic Four 2 (introducing Dr. Doom), Shang-Chi 2, Black Panther 3, and maybe Doctor Strange 3 (which also features Doom). That’s at least 2 projects that establishes Doom prior to Doomsday.

26:31 Marvel has been filming movies with incomplete scripts for YEARS because for some reason they have it in their heads they can recreate the lightning in a bottle that was Iron Man 1 since that movie had a lot of rewriting/improv on set. Filming without a finished script has been their staple since Endgame, and all they've learned is people will still flock to the theatres to see these movies BECAUSE they're Marvel movies. It's so frustrating and disappointing to see this happen over and over again when they ARE capable of GREAT writing, we saw it with the Infinity Saga.

The fact that we’re getting a video before the movie comes out speaks volumes

14:10 bringing back Terrance Howard as kang would’ve been hilarious

I know that there was no way this would ever happen, but I feel like hiding RDJ playing Doom until people were actively in theaters would have been absolutely incredible.

25:50 “somehow Dr Doom returned” followed by a room full test tubes of Kang clones

11:36 I'm so glad you brought this up because as a marvel fan I follow alot of channels that cover this. And they have all been making videos going through the last 15 years of movies finding doom connections and what not and I'm like no but wasn't Kang next? Lol I've just been feeling gaslit with channels like new rockstars and the like trying to point out every little thing like a foreshadow of doom.

Iron Man 1 to Endgame was 22 Movies that's it! 35 projects in 7 years is fucking diabolical.

I think the reason why marvel didnt recast kang is because the multiverse saga failed to generate enough excitement. The audience hated dr strange and multiverse of madness and ant man quantumania, even before jonathan majors got in trouble. His legal trouble is just a convenient excuse for marvel to axe the storyline and go straight to doomsday. Everything comes down to money.

There is NO WAY to introduce and develop so many characters while also respecting the antagonist at the same time. Just no way.

23:39 - According to an alleged plot leak of Avengers: Doomsday, Deadpool and Wolverine fight with Tobey's Spider-Man and destroy his universe.
