My new favorite euphemism: ".. departed the aircraft". Mr. Hörnfeldt always choses a very elegant and kind way to put things.

29:57 The king air pilot is not faultless here. As I taught all my children when teaching them to drive, just because you have right of way doesn't mean you don't have a responsibility to avoid an accident, and no matter how right you are, doesn't eliminate any injuries, you, your passengers or other people have because of your decision not to avoid an accident.

Ah yes, we lost our engines, got a raging fire melting our wing and no Ailerons so lets not ditch in the closest puddle and find a nicer parking spot.

54:38 based on all the problems with Gulf Air, sounds like they were exposing all their passengers to a high degree of risk for years before this accident. If flyers had known, they probably would not have gone with them.

Pilots of some persuasions get to a point where they “accept fate” and stop correcting their actions.

Why’d you go and post this when I’m already late for going to bed?

@Dark_Dixie 5 months ago

When it comes to Gulf Air and all its failings, autocratic countries need to STOP focusing on "who gets the blame" so that person gets fired "to save face." When everyone is dead and you've lost a $300 million asset, who is the one chosen to take the blame in order to preserve the hierarchy and to hide the real decision makers who helped make the accident happen, nothing changes. It just means another future scapegoat is hired and the goal then is always to save face and not to learn. It's sad.

Never had a tail strike. But if I had... !! I would immediately land at my departure airfield. What were they thinking?

@marmactwins 4 weeks ago

That was so cute! Your video continue on the laptop screen which fell on the cabin floor from the tail strike. Clever AND adorable!

@AlexWolfLikesPie 6 months ago

oh my god it went airborne after the tailstrike i feel sick omg

38:15min - Watching Mentour-Pilot on the laptop while takeoff is kinda oxymoron - anyways nice detail. 😍

Re. 31:30, I was a Unicom operator at an uncontrolled airport a few years ago. Duty crew were strictly prohibited from giving any information over the radio regarding aircraft positions, landing intentions, or anything that could be taken as ATC info (like aircraft separation info).

I am not a pilot but I have zero doubt the lessons learned from the aeronautics world has made me a better human.

I've hyped this video it's well worth it this is in my top five YouTube channels and I always watch all videos all the way through. These long haul flight compilations are absolutely ideal for me as I can just settle down for a good while with coffees and joints and enjoy. As I'm often wasting time looking for stuff to watch these long haul flights are absolutely perfect thanks everyone involved.
