I am a pilot with 26,000+ hours of airline experience. I still instruct students from primary through advanced levels and in aircraft dispatch. I watch these videos to learn. Thank you for this outstanding quality product. I am astounded that I can get this for free. A great deal of effort has obviously been put into each and every one. I show these to my students who aspire to fly the big jets. Thank you for this very professional product.

In the first story when you start hearing how the captain was behaving……. it is infuriating.

Legend has it that the engine is still running and the captain is still there to prevent it from being turned off

Having a captain who is not aware of the fact that a fuel leak may be a fire hazard is really weird. Do not captains usually know what fuel is and what fire is?

This reminds me of Delta Air Lines Flight 1141 (1988). The cockpit voice recorder captured the pilots joking with the crew before takeoff, even joking about a crash that happened before the crew was talking too much. Minutes later, the aircraft actually crashed after takeoff. A tragic example of why cockpit discipline matters.

The pilot’s lack of interest makes my blood boil, too! He’s paid to safely fly the plane, not to shoot the breeze with a buddy. The FO must have been aggravated, and probably worried, too.

I do not know who is in charge of the 3D images/animations and the editing of these videos but this is very very good quality.
Bravo! The script and narration are already very entertaining but the editing makes it perfect.

Am the only one that loves when Petter says "all you need to do is find a comfortable place to sit, being out your favorite drink, sit back and relax" it really does help relax me

"Captain, someone on the tarmac is throwing cute bunnies into the engine!" "I think we should keep the engine running."

Every item on a checklist is written in blood. Sometimes a little. Sometimes a lot.

Plus, if you don't follow the checklist and then request external help, those helping you will already disregard anything that would be uncovered by that checklist.

In Story 2 someone's guardian angel was definitely keeping that plane safe because that captain made one idiotic decision after another, it's a miracle they didn't blow up

That AirFrance story is like the tension-building phase of a horror/thriller film going on for an exhausting amount of time and then being subverted at the last second.

@Mentourlonghall I live in Bangor Maine. A Private Jet (Bombardier Challenger 650) crashed during take off. I can’t believe they were cleared to take off at all. We were in the middle of a blizzard snow accumulating at more than 1 inch per hour. While 30 mph wind gusts. 7 of 8 casualties.

Petter says “jaw dropping” like “yaw dropping” and I always giggle because it’s punny 😊🎉❤

Right off, my blood is boiling right there with yours! Now I'm not a pilot but if I'd been in her position I would have halted the take off even if it meant my job until the Captain got with the program. I would hope there is a proper way to handle such unprofessional behavior without risking flight safety.
