Overwatch Lore coming to a peak for this year! Undivided video will be out tomorrow! Vendetta vs Doomfist — when's it happening, and what do YOU think will happen? :D

-Ham

Vendetta is about to detonate a world sized emp? Rammatra where the fuck are you!?

Doomfist snickering in the background: do not stop your enemy when she is making a mistake.

Vendetta learning that heavy is the head that wears the crown, and absolutely being crushed by the pressure.

Vendetta's personality perfectly reflects the downsides of her name. She suffers from tunnel vision, making her highly predictable, hyper-emotional, prone to poor judgment, and unable to adapt. This ultimately caused a massive fallout with her group; her crusade was always about her own personal revenge, not the allies she formed. By the end of the she will be truly the lone wolf.

I honestly love this dynamic in how the two villains handled Talon in their own vision.

Doomfist was patient, calculated, and strategic in how he managed Talon and while that circle of influence was smaller, it held a stronger foundation in addition to the trust he builds within his circle of influence. However, that was also what made him complacent because of the fact that he believed that he has surpassed his master in his mistakes yet fell the exact same way because he grew comfortable and arrogant in that ideology of being untouchable.

Vendetta is quite literally the exact opposite of Doomfist where she is headstrong, direct, and speedy in the way she leads Talon. This allowed her to take Talon out of the shadows and build a massive sphere of power. However, this comes at the expense that that massive sphere of influence is volatile and fragmented, which means that her level of influence could easily break the moment there is an opportunity for any one of her allies to see the mistake she makes.

The lack of patience that Vendetta wields is why she lacks the power of influence that Doomfist had over Talon and why her allies are so fragmented as opposed to Doomfist, but at the same time is how Vendetta was able to go against and challenge Doomfist’s philosophy and exposed his complacency as a result. It honestly kinda showcases how power isn’t just strength, it’s what you do with the power you have is what determines the foundation for it. Doomfist spent years crafting the power he held as the head of Talon, ensuring that he held that power in every aspect, Vendetta seized that power in strength only but never took the time necessary to try and place her power in other aspects and instead forcing her way into power.

I think that next season will have Overwatch and (maybe) Doomfist’s team challenging Vendetta but something goes wrong. Also Emre/Chernabog will definitely play a role during this confirmation. Good breakdown and analysis as always Hammeh!

So essentially vendetta is gonna do what the legion of doom tried to do in that one movie (they basically were gonna use a giant emp on the whole world) but instead of the whole planet it’s just a continent?

Using the resources and forces Talon had built up in a series of attacks across the world, hoping she could take it by surprise like she did DoomFist. Learning the hard way that rushing things along like she has won’t make much headway at all.

Vendetta went from regular everyday villainy to cartoonish SUPER villainy

I do think this arc has been a great study of arrogance as a character trait.

It started with Barteloni. His purely arrogant boasting as to his status and ability to evade justice caused Reyes to snap, sending him through the window. Even if Reyes was wrong to do so.

Then Doomfist. His arrogance led to complacency. He wasn't prepared for Vendetta and was sent out the window. He is now in a sort of villainous redemption arc because he survived and admits it.

Vendetta is now being set up to be knocked through a window (calling it now) because her arrogance (narcissism flavored) is causing her to rush preparations. She epitomizes the saying 'fortune favors the bold'. She secretly fears complacency by waiting too long, but replaces it with recklessness. I am expecting a climax where she is truly outnumbered by either Overwatch or Doomfist's team (or both?), her shoddy alliances having failed her, and she gets sent out the window despite putting up a good fight. You can only go so far by yourself.

I would then expect a cliffhanger involving Emre, maybe the emp bomb. No basis fir that, just wild speculation.

Only other thing I would say is Ramattra and maybe Junker Queen or Ashe have been the least visibly arrogant thus far. They invaded, came prepared, got the mission done, went back into hiding. Emre is a whole different theme I think. But Ramattra may well be the best prepared "Dr. Doom" of Overwatch at this point.

I have commented this previously as a reply for another comment, but i believe this might worth your time:

I have a theory that Antonio was an IJC member, and Overwatch was shut down because they killed one of them. Killing an IJC member might be equally bad as killing a member of our real life G7 group.

That might be the reason why Antonio could get away so easily from crimes and court trials.

Vendetta wants to eradicate the IJC because they failed to protect her father. She considers them responsible for enabling Overwatch to exist as well, even on its current state. IJC is her personal and biggest obstacle, and she will come after Overwatch the moment she finishes with them.

Vendetta also planned her attack in a way even if she loses, Overwatch will get the blame no matter what. If my theory about Antonio and IJC is correct, that means the organization is extremely corrupt, to the point they will blame Overwatchs current existence for enabling Vendetta to destroy the IJC, and the Overwatch heroes will get a "most wanted" status across the world, with bounties on their head.

The story might end with the Detective Omnic trying to seek justice for the Overwatch heroes, calling out the IJC for hypocrisy, with the IJC dismissing everything and creating a team of bounty hunters, going after Overwatch.

Never stop your enemy when they are making a mistake.

Talon has had a burst of being more powerful, but now is at the top of everyone's shitlist lol. Also please someone save Sigma

I think she is going to revive Antonio Bartalotti by using Moira and the Super soldier serum. His dead body is still there.

Symmetra needs to put the pressure on Domina TODAY. Like, does Sym know that any of this shit is going on?

Has Lifeweaver not told her that she tried to kill him and is helping vendetta???

I just want an arena match between Vendetta and Junker Queen.

Did u accidentally post something yesterday?

Also, by any chance, do u plan on reviewing the comic (well webtoon) after a set of them are over?

Are the writers scheming to phase out Vendetta/ROT already? She literally just finished her big set ups in her grand plan yet now all of sudden the experimental super soldier serum used for the gladiators since S2 currently still lacks efficacy to some degree, Emre & Freja conveniently vanish last minute and the Vishkar agreement is also under slight strain at the same time. As for “allies” it seems Vendetta only really has her gladiators, Talon and Vishkar. Hashimoto Clan and the Junkers don’t work with her anymore/currently and the Deadlock gang only helped them out as a one time deal with the Grand Mesa job. If they plan to start getting rid of her this quickly within less than a year of her debut, what exactly is next for this character and rather the story long-term? If she gets disposed off with Doom then coming back to reclaim Talon, what exactly is the way forward for Talon and also the new OW too? What was the purpose of propping up Vendetta for months on end just to undo it all in even less time and also a very predictable and not well developed manner? 🤔 Currently this webtoon seems very problematic for any telling of the lore’s future progression but perhaps we’ll just have to wait and see how it unfolds before making too harsh judgments. Very strange to drop all this important stuff in a webtoon however that is also paywalled to an extent.

Not really since we it was easy to piece together what she was doing

at this point i don't care what happens. I'm just glad that after 9 years things finally started happening.
