1:06 that is an outdated term

What a glorious video. I would give it my blessing however, you described my intelect as "Rivaling that of Richards", that fool is no where near as brilliant as I. Several Doombots have been sent to your location. Best of luck.

The MF DOOM respect in this video in addition to discussing the character is much appreciated

That’s how Doom got so op! He got that Tibetan monk training like how Batman did.

Doom doesn't lose. He either wins...or learns.

As someone once said, Doom arrogance and self-entitle attitude  could have been influenced  by the fact that his parents died while trying to do something good for others (his mother was trying to save her people from the king and his father tried to save the king's wife). The fact that both his parents suffer such tragic fates, despite their good intentions, might have caused Doom to have this view on things, that power is the only thing that matter and that doing the moral thing is pointless unless you earn validation from others.

11:00 minor correction: Doom’s mother does not escape with Doom and Strange. Her refusal to escape so Strange be eternally damned is an act of redemption because she sacrifices herself to spare an innocent (Strange) and thus is admitted to Heaven, freeing her from Mephisto. Dr Strange goes on to say that Mephisto had cursed the flesh he gave her so that the moment she escaped his realm, it was rapidly decay and thus force her soul to return (since when the body dies, the soul either goes to Heaven or Hell (in Marvel anyway)). It’s heavily implied at the end that this was Doom’s plan all along, that he knew Mephisto would never let her truly leave, so Doom willingly chose to make his mother hate him if it meant she would finally be free. It’s a really deep consequence that is quite thought provoking.

I think Doom is pretty similar to Batman. A broken boy who lost both parents in a tragedy, travelling around the world seeking power to bring justice to his home. Both of them hide who they were deep inside and then wear a mask as their new face. However, Batman still has Alfred and others, so Bruce is still there, and Zur-En-Arrh, the pure Batman, is locked up. Also, Batman still has a line he doesn’t cross, but Doom, on the other hand, only has himself, so Dr Doom is his face, and old Victor is no more. Doom doesn’t want to only change his country; he wants to change the world. He believes only absolute power under one ruler could bring peace to the world of unworthy men, and no price is too high if the cause is just.

It sucks because his narcissism is his own weakness, yet it’s also his greatest strength. Every time there’s been a moment his self-obsession and belief that he’s unstoppable has lead to his downfall. There’s always been another where it’s helped him achieve the unbelievable or overcome the greatest of obstacles. Those moments he will always look back on to continue to use to his affirm the belief that his self admiration is his greatest weapon which it kinda is yet also a double edge sword.

0:19 Didn’t know Doctor Doom created Marvel Rivals, bro is insanely talented!

Respect for referencing MF DOOM

11:42 - I'll be honest, any writer who makes Dr. Doom swear loses five points. Doom doesn't swear, he dissects through dialogue. Swearing is easy, and Doom never takes the easy way out, how else would he prove his superiority to Mr. Fantastic?

The reason I love Doctor Doom is because he is an anti villain who believes he’s a hero. Yes he has done evil things but he always had the best intentions. Not to mention he backs up his claims of being the smartest and most powerful man on earth. And he does it with style

He is my favourite Villain, it used to be Darth Vader but now it’s Doom

omfg if doomsday doesnt have random mf doom imma lowkey be sad...

Shoutout to the Illest Villain

Imo Dooms the best character in all of comics

Other than being a cool wizard who's an expert in both magic and tech, being the ruler of his own country and looking cool, Doom is literary me.

Doom is reminiscent of the Green Knight from Arthurian legend, itself rooted in earlier motifs of the Green Man and the Wild Man.

I also love Doctor Doom he's actually my all time favourite villain in the entire marvel universe
