The most disturbing fact is that your teammates in overwatch are actually real functioning human beings because its scary to think that people that incompetent exist.

Hammond still remembers pretty vividly his life as a regular hamster and all the incredibly painful procedures he had to forcibly endure to reach human-like intelligence just to be forsaken by his only friend in the Horizon Lunar Colony, yet he admits that all that pain and terror wasn´t as horrible as living as a non-enlightened rodent

You forgot to mention the worst part about Meis situation and that is that SHE DESIGNED THOSE PODS so in her mind it’s all her fault they failed and killed her friends

Overwatch would save much more than 0.8% of omnics if PVE wasn’t cancelled

Fun fact about Mei: because the cryopods failed, and nine years had passed, and the facilities were climate controlled enough for there to be dripping water and no considerable ice buildup and Mei was able to touch metal surfaces like the handrail for the stairs without experiencing immediate skin damage... Chances are, those pods thawed out a long time ago, and they decomposed! So Mei's horrified reaction wasn't from seeing her friend still peacefully frozen and asleep, it was from seeing an incredibly decomposed corpse.

sigma literally saw horrors beyond human comprehension, and I'm not saying the word "literally" as an intensifier, I literally mean literally

Mind you, the reconciliation comic implies ramattra is simply uploading omnics to avoid the current war and that none of them are dead. They've simply left there bodies to be returned once humanity has wiped itself out

Moira is essentially Resident Evil scientist in a wrong universe lmao

Three Corrections and a bit of new horror!:

Tracer can take off the accerator. The first holiday comic showed her able to live with her girlfriend Emily with the accelerator on a charging station in the apartment. I think the canonical explanation is that it "has a range."

Secondly, as other people pointed out, Ramattra isn't technically lobotomizing but "brain-uploading" omnics to the Iris so they can be returned to new bodies after humanity inevitably goes extinct.

Finally, a bit of fun new horror: according to my friend who's read Declassified, the US's Soldier Enhancement Program was super dangerous and employed actual eugenicists. One of those was Victoria Naughton, who expressed regrets that none of the SEP subjects have passed on their enhanced genes, implying her long-term goal would be to engineer a "superior mankind."

Worth to mention, with the background of how omnics function on King's Row the payload you deliver is an emp, probably directed at viping out the omnics living there

on moira, she's also experimenting on herself, like look at the difference of her arm between ow1 and ow2, she has a voice line interaction with i don't remember who who asks moira why she's doing that and moira answers that she likes working on a deadline. she's so obsessed with experiments she's not only willing to hurt other people but also herself

emre also has the eye logo of the conspiracy on his chest so whatever is controlling him is clearly related. there was also a spray released last season with the same logo so clearly they're planning to more with it soon, maybe in chapter 2

dont forget the worst of all. venture tried eating a rock and accidently chipped their tooth

Fun fact about Illari! There is a strong possibility that Conspiracy was behind the explosion (seems to be ttheir M.O.).

A comic with 76 revealed they were trying to take the solar energy technology Illaris people had, and the new hero Emre, who is controlled by conspiracy, has an ukt animation and capabilities very similar to Illaris.

God i love OW lore holy fuck.

8:01 And when she gets bombed by D.Va, she says this line... "It's like I am reliving that day." She's really carrying so much and yet she still fighting. And that's something that's absolutely admirable.

Damn, no wonder Rammatra is so hell-bent on killing humans. They are wiping out his one and only generation of people. But of course, his actions are terrible. He's doing the same exact thing, but I kinda get it.

There's an interaction where Hazard asks Sigma how he's holding up, and if he's happy with 'talon helping him further his research' (he responds with a somber 'no' iirc)

11:33 also fun fact about Sigma: he is effectively the closest thing to a walking extinction Bomb that exist in the overwarch universe. Because he has control over literal black holes if he ever loses control or focus for too much time while he’s using his powers he can effectively create a black hole in his immediate vicinity. You can even see this in his screen as if you wait enough he start to dissociate and while this happens his spheres start to agitate violently

a bit off topic but people really forget how scary most games are from characters perspectives like actually recount your favourite game lore in your head and you'll realize how fucked everything is

3:40 So competitive lobbies are canon
