i'm just saying waking up in a village full of teenage boys with no escape and no memories is by far way more terrifying than anything that maze could've produced

Read the 1st book and watched the movie for it. The rest I simply did not care. Keep the boys in the maze. Contain them

1:11 the fact that this book was written by a grown man and not a 15 year old girl on AO3 with a Larry Stylinson tumblr astounds me actually.

"Thomas comes in, and because he is a pinnacle of American individualism, shakes things up and does things his own way"
Isn't that the plot of Emily in Paris ?

I thought this was just an old video I missed, can’t believe we’re getting this in 2026

minohs only trait being that he's a boy who runs might be the most realistic part of this movie

"He's just british for no reason" me too 😔

when will mike's mic and uncarley join forces to cover a movie adaptation of a ya dystopian novel together and give the girls gays and theys what we really want and need

Thomas being the only one who could survive the maze overnight AND kill a greiver would also make me SO DAMN suspicious of him 😂

To make Albert Einstein's calling card be the movie Oppenheimer is the kind of whiplash I need from an uncarley video.

please do scorch trials. when I was 10 my friend's brother at a sleepover watched it and the idea of zombies that FUCKING SPRINT truly made me get up and leave the room. this is a forever memory.

The statement that maze runner is a boyband hunger games is brilliant. 100% correct hahaha

I fully thought you were gonna say Minho was named after the Minotaur, bc of the maze

Chuck = Charles = Charles Darwin

It just occurred to me that James Dashner truly could not think of a single historical Asian scientist to name his single Asian character after. He had to make one up. I think I'm genuinely affronted by this

The way that Thomas is the most Mary-Sue character to exist in all of YA fiction, but because he's a guy, no one talks about it!!!

7:45 In the books this is talked about. The boys made ladders to climb the walls, but when they started to climb them, they began to feel intense vertigo and had to stop. This was caused by Wicked so the boys would have to run through the maze to escape. In the books Wicked can actually control their minds.

14:56 "Albert Einstein, from the movie Oppenheimer" this sentence caused me physical AND psychilogical damage

Minho named after Shinee Choi Minho, as we all know

The way the male author is trying so hard to come up with terrifying things like fleshy spiders and sprinting zombies, when most girls’ worst nightmare would truly be being the only girl trapped with a group of boys. On a lighter note, Carley saying Minho like “Minnow” made me genuinely confused until the 35 minute mark about who this Minnow character was 😂
