It would blow my mind if I got that comic I ordered from you 2 years ago!

The Russo’s very clearly said that Doom is not a Tony Stark variant; but they did not say that Tony Stark was not a Victor Von Doom variant.

Doom being Tony was planned like you would plan to shit yourself before you have to drive your kid to school.

Does nobody remember Tony’s dad saying a birthday of his child and Tony seemed confused almost as if it didn’t line up with his birthday.

This is the only theory that makes the scene in endgame where Tony was confused about how his mom was pregnant on the day he sent them back

Variants doesn’t have to have the same identical faces. For example Peter Parker, Reed Richards, etc. In other universes there could be a random person having Tom Holland’s face, just a normal random citizen. Dr. Doom having identical face as Tony doesn’t have to mean the other is a variant of the other. Like Human Torch, having identical face/appearance as Steve Rogers. If we focus on the name/identity instead of the appearance, it can help distinguish the difference between a variant or not

This is one of the most ridiculous ideas I’ve ever heard

They probably did plan on doing this the whole time. However they probably didn’t plan on doing it until after the kang dynasty.

Another thought - Doom is Tony.  Tony is Doom. All that needs to happen is that Tony’s mom is a Von Doom.  In the 616 she marries Howard Stark and relocates to the US from Sakovia.  In the 828 Howard is killed before Tony is born, and she stays in Latveria to raise him alone under her maiden name Von Doom. This could help explain the difference in technological development between the 2 earths - 1 had Howard, one did not.

3:11 important to know he laughed after he said that most likely a joke.

To validate this, just look at Endgame, when Cap and Tony go further back, and Tony is talking to his dad in the elevator, he looks confused when his dad is talking about his mom being pregnant. As if the timing doesn't line up.

10:16 I feel like I’ve been stuck in limbo for 10 minutes just hearing the same sentence repeated in different ways

Yes… when Steve went back to replace the stone and stayed in the past was before Tony would have talked to Howard. So the confusion of the pregnancy timing fits him being adopted.

For starters, RDJ’s interview with Rogan wasn’t implying towards him not stopping the MCU appearances, it was in reference to how as now a top rated actor, he couldn’t slow down yet. He was now wanting an Oscar, and he did that. He wanted to go after the award and he accomplished it.

Now there’s just about a 0.00000000001% chance that you could ever convince me that they ended Endgame planning on bringing Doom in next. They put their entire bank on Kang being the ultimate Multiverse Bad Guy. The issues with Jonathan Majors forced them to do one of the biggest industry pivots of all time. Completely eradicating your focal point and bringing in a pinch hitter at the last second that, luckily, fits the narrative of a multiversal threat.

Yes, Doom was always planned for some point. Just like back when Fox owned the X-men, Marvel Studios still had a plan to bring in mutants to the MCU. But there’s no way they planned the hammer thing at the end of Endgame as Doom. I just can’t believe that.

I understand them wanting us to forget that they cut Majors off like a tumor, but like, come on. Don’t fluff us with lies.

21:24 maybe this means that all these movies and shows were disconnected,  branched in multiverses if you will, branched in different studios. then ultimately and eventually we have a blank slate of what will be defined as the only and new and current mcu timeline

I still think my theory is better...where when Tony and Cap go back in time it sets off events where Tonys parents die somehow and Tony gets adopted as Victor Von Doom.  That way he is Tony on one timeline and Doom on another...same person.

Biggest unmentioned element in support of your theory: In the comics, Doom invents time travel. And what do we see Reed Richards use the first time he appears in the MCU? Doom's version of time travel, which the comics rightly point out is, perforce, not only a time machine but also a /space/ machine--a teleporter. And the robots at Illuminati HQ might look like Ultron, but they could just be . . . Doombots.

This theory is super solid, maybe Howard didnt "love" tony and talked about steve so much because he never truly wanted to adopt tony and it took him a long time to actually love tony. Maybe every Stark/Doom has a reason to hate Captain America but just for different reasons. Maybe Tony did know he was adopted and thats why he seemed to only care about his mom (the parent that truly loved him from the start).

In the comic “The Secret Origins of Tony Stark” it’s revealed that Tony Stark actually an orphan that that the Starks adopted

Also in Loki season 2 Möbius said he was at the black sea and was told a child would cause 5000 deaths but they eventually pruned the child, so maybe he who remains knew he would have to have Doom somewhere in the 616 universe so he could discover time travel to help set up the tva, so he who remains just rewrote Doom as being Tony so he could discover time travel.
