i dont think the line "liar" is about tony's parents' killing, I think Tony told cap he's a liar because they lost, but they were not together, as cap said they would be in age of ultron

Why does Hulk consistently not get the credit he deserves for literally, single-handedly bringing everyone back? Tony’s snap eliminated Thanos and his forces, but the entire mission was to restore everyone who had been lost. Hulk actually accomplished that. Without his snap, they don’t win.

It just occurred to me that Tony lost his life for Pepper and Morgan to live on, whereas Viktor Von Doom lived on while losing his Wife and child... 🤔

I always took Tony calling Cap a liar as him lying about not being together when they lost.

“Liar” was ad libbed.  That’s why the reactions you see are real.  It’s such a brilliant scene.

I believe Tony is calling Cap a Liar because he broke up the Avengers.  When they were always supposed to be a team.

I’ve always thought Natasha knew about who killed Tony’s parents also. When she gives Steve the Winter soldier folder in the cemetery, she specifically tells him not to pull too hard on the thread, because he might not like what he finds out. This, to me, implies that she must have read over the files before giving them to Steve. She was probably a little curious herself since she had already had a run-in with the Winter Soldier. Anyway, good on Cap for not throwing her under the bus for the intel.

Tony wasn't bitter and selfish.  He was broken.  Have a heart, man.

There was nothing terrible about Rocket saying "Maybe I was."  He WAS built.
I thought Tony called Steve a liar because they didn't lose together.

Nah Rocket got even with Tony when he said,”boo” when the last stone got put in the guantlet. Man I laughed my ass off. 😂

There is a scene that could fix what's truly broken with Endgame. Add Antman to the end where Tony appears on the bench, he leans over to Hulk and says "I knew Back to the Future wasn't bullshit."

9:22 wonderful comeback from rocket.  He's literally a build-a-raccoon

im sitting here at work crying, you saying all that bout tony wanting to rest made me think of my dad. he battled cancer till he couldnt anymore and when he was ready to go, my mom said the exact thing pepper says to tony in endgame "you can rest now" 20 damn years and im still crying like it was yesterday.

Tony's attack that Steve "wasn't there" is also laughable because it was Tony who made the decision to bring the fight to Thanos. Strange wanted to go back to Earth to regroup. Peter was still the same kid Tony had previously refused to make an Avenger cuz he didn't think he was ready. Heck, the entire rest of the Avengers were together!

Tony has been beaten down again and again and again with no one to trust him or back him up. He put his life between the universe and Thanos then spent a very long time afterwards being in pain, half dead. Finally saying “no I need to step away” while benefits him isn’t selfish. Selfishness isn’t the same as taking care of yourself. He can’t do it alone and everything already went completely wrong around him from people he ultimately couldn’t trust. The call is over at that point and he’s the only one willing to recognize it. The only hope they have is when Scott shows up and by then Tony is jumping straight back into the call again. Tony’s crash out was completely valid and well deserved. While he took a break he didn’t really every truly give up. This is great character development for a hero when they “refuse” the call to save the world by having a low moment, being completely mentally broken and rightfully so.

I thought it was obvious what Tony meant when he said "liar".

if doom takes out bucky it will be starks revenge

I feel like Doomsday is going to have a scene with Morgan. Imagine a young Morgan seeing Doom’s face and says “…dad?” And it immediately grabs Doom’s attention.

Originally rdj was supposed to say "oh snap." He improved "I am ironman."

I disagree with your point on Tony falling back down to his old self. He was correct, and had a point to not trust Steve anymore. He had no more ideas for them, since they didn't listen to him anyway. He needed, and deserved his time with family. Doesn't make him a selfish A-hole.

Shouldn't the crucial scene be when tony was suprised when his father told him his wife Tony's mom was expecting ?
