After Multiverse of Madness, Doctor Strange disappears into the Dark Dimension with Clea after learning that he caused an incursion. We still don't know exactly what happened to him — but Jonathan Hickman’s Time Runs Out may give us a blueprint for where his story could be heading.
This video breaks down Strange’s role in Time Runs Out, the multiversal crisis he becomes caught in, the mysterious Rabum Alal, and the Black Priests — and why I think all of it could lead Doctor Strange directly to Doctor Doom.
This is Doom & Gloom, the spooky season of Doomsday Clock — a weekly Marvel essay series building toward Avengers: Doomsday in December 2026.

I hope we get more on his character’s justification if this is true. He’s had to make a lot of sacrifices that aren’t seen as good by people (breaking natural law for Dormammu, sacrificing the time stone, Iron Man, and half the universe to defeat Thanos, and using the Darkhold to dream walk and talk sense into Wanda. And don’t forget that both the Darkhold AND the Dark Dimension can corrupt people who use it/remain in it. Poor guy may agree to help Doom because he’s too far gone… we love you Stephen Strange!
Edit: Doctor Strange felt immense guilt for what happened with Tony. He does not like even indirectly being the cause of death as he is a doctor and a healer first, before anything else. And the decisions being made are similar to how practicing doctors triage patients. But it’s hard and takes a toll. Perhaps one of the reasons he works with Doom (if Tony is a Doom variant like we talked about) is because he wants to make up for what happened.
By the way I am what people call the Doctor Strange CEO (this theory really tracks btw) so if you need someone to infodump Doctor Strange stuff to help next episode I could leave comments and replies :D
Second movie mfer had to fight Wanda 😂😂
