I know it isn't quite the same but

"If they work in the park, why aren't they given the finances to fix these things?"

That sure hit like a truck as someone who recently left teaching. Like. Yeah, why DON'T we get those funds??

12:24 How Trickle-Down Economics really works: those in the high towers keep the money and assets, the lower classes scrounge through their garbage to survive.

The idea that corporations would claim planets to make world wide businesses out of earth's regulation is not that far fetched. Whats scary is the corporation literally financially traps it's workers on the planet and makes off planet travel so expensive they can't leave and are forced to work for low wages and barely get by, you KNOW a corporation would do that!

In 9:34 I was fully unaware until my second rewatch of the pilot to see the amount of plushies in the crane we’re characters from previous glitch shows such as N and Uzi from “Murder Drones” Jax and Pomni from “The Amazing Digital Circus” and Mel from “The Gaslight District.”

Also Sir Arthur (the „robot" that Gwen completely DESTOYS) has RED BLOOD... ... ... A.k.a. he - to some degree - was HUMAN, not a robot/ android/ whatever. That is terrifing on multiple level, mainly because Gwen might not have ANY KNOWLEDGE outside Park Planet.

You can see that the planet below had the old park.  Now it is effectively a colossal version of the area behind the “Employees Only” doors and gates; all the behind the scenes support systems and employee areas.  It also holds all of Park Planet’s more cut rate, environmentally unfriendly industries.  All which contribute to Blue Lung (which unfortunately Andi seems to have).

As for the Guinevere, it may not necessarily be the one Andi and Frankie encountered.  But since they are all tied to the same network and can remember every individual’s responses to “their Princess Guinevere”, they as the original as even greater access to all the data (and the that finger spasm my have been a sympathetic twitch coming from the lost and buried Guinevere).

I really like the body types shown in this show

It is confirmed that both Andie and Frankie are she/her when it comes to pronouns. You can find that on the fake website that Glitch created for the show. There is a fake staff only section that you can access after you finish a quiz there

Also, Blue Lung is not a drug. Its a sickness that comes from the blue blood and fumes coming out of the factories from the park above them. Its similar to Black Lung, a disease that a lot of miners used to have because they exposed themselves too much underground without much protection

21:51 it was Andi’s spit that was blue because you can see when he first spits on his hand it’s clear and then after he shakes hands with Andi the spit is blue!

This is the 6th GLITCH productions show and this time, the Queen who made The Owl House was the one who made it.

It’s absolutely incredible.

22:16 Pretty sure they're both referred to as she/her in promotional material and whatnot, but one important note about Frankie is how she's called Francesca by her imaginary plushies and by Gwen, but Sparky (in a weirdly derogatory way) calls her Franklin. Either he doesn't care enough to remember her name properly OR... you know... deadname.

Edit: Apparentely Dana confirmed she's cis and Franklin's just a nickname, so nevermind everything I said!

The more I watch the Pilot for this, the more details I noticed. Not just the easter eggs, but the implied dynamics of their relationship. As far as we know, Frankie is very talented with tech, even knowing as much as Andrea or more given how easy it is for her to fix her gadgets. Especially her 'Boombox' which is a hacker. It makes me wonder how MUCH Andy would actually like her working for the park since she never once responds positively to the idea. Maybe it's because she wants to protect her but doesn't want to argue with her dreams to work in the labs wither. Also Andrea seeing that guy with Blue Lung prompting her to put her face mask on, the fact her own spit has blue in it when she shakes Sparky's hand. Either blue lung is so common no one blinks at it, or she's hiding that she's sick. I also think Frankie may suffer from potentially one of many disorders which causes auditory and visual hallucinations. They are not always malicious like in movies and TV shows like to portray, and often iust a mishmash of input your brain has. Typically anxiety is what can worsen things like schizophrenia, while she seems to lack this and instead has manifestations of her fixation on wondrous and childlike things. She associates Guinevere with being a kind princess, so she would see the broken model as that after waking up from a stressful head injury. It might also be why Sparky says he can't treat her different despite 'you being YOU' which already also points to her being 'othered' for being different.

Also, Dana is definitely making shots at Disney. If you ever watch Alex Hirsch's video listing all the feedback emails Disney sent on scripts and details from Gravity Falls episodes, you'll see how ridiculously innocuous their standards are for everything. The shot of the Guinevere sketch including her hair point being 'too violent/threatening' is exactly the ridiculous level of sanitising Disney does with their shows.

5:36 bet money those are all real notes EVERY Disney animator has received from someone whose entire job is to find problems because if they don't find problems someone else will wonder why they are being paid so much money.

You can definitely tell it’s a Dana Terrace show when it has

a: very intense body horror gore

b: some very direct social commentary on “the company that must not be named”.

We all feel very vindicated for this. 🤣😱💙

It's both sweet and very scary that Gwen killed the Sir Arthur robot because of a stranger danger protocol.

This show has some strong Battle Angel Alita energy. I’m excited to see where it goes.

15:02 "when they were child?"😂

They might as well have named this show “Fuck You, Disney: The Animated Series”. I love it. 😂

Just a reminder; Dana isn't the only writer for this show. Zach Marcus and John Bailey Owen also worked on this. Both who have also done writing for The Owl House and are equally familiar with working for Disney 😆

I actually do get the feeling that Sparky genuinely cares for both Frankie and Andy, and potentially "the boys" that seem to be in his charge as well. It's just that he has to be absolutely ruthless to make sure they all survive, and if that means pulling a few teeth and crushing a few dreams, then that's just the price of living in the shadow of the park. He's doing what he thinks is the best he can.
