8:58 THERE IS A QR CODE, HOLD UP

Edit: I scanned it, it leads to 3 storybook pages from a Guinevere storybook I guess?? And there are scribbles all over two of them, and one of them has kind of type writer text all over it

You know, shockingly, Olivia clearly wasn't exaggerating when she said sending security after Guinevere wouldn't work out.

24:16 I like how this scene implies that Gwen androids are programmed to detect potential kidnappers. She asks kids if the "big guy" approaching them is their parent or guardian. If they remain silent, Gwen will immediately assume it's a kidnapper and be in defensive mode.

I love how the narrator makes us think that the princess is the girl and not guinevere but then when gwen jumps from the tower it confirms that the actual trapped princess is the android

Here’s a cool fact: if you go back to the original teaser trailer after watching this you can see that the people working on the gwin are actually franky and andi, meaning that the teaser trailer is pretty much directly after the end of the pilot

love the parallels between child Franki playing the claw game and Adult Franki finding Gwen in the trash

I have to say...I love that while they are taking the idea of theme parks and companies down, they don't mock those who get meaning out of it. Frankie and Dee are still fans of Guinevere; they love her and what she may have purported to stand for, but they know the company is evil. The critique isn't some lame 'Disney adult bad' rehash; it's criticizing the actual corporation. I really like how they do that. After all, we as Owl House fans are fans of a Disney product. We aren't bad for loving that, we just know the darkness behind it.

I think "complicated machines that run on blood and fear" is a metaphor for "humans" from Princess Guniveres' perspective.

I love how the anagram of the show represents the characters as  "cogs" of the corporate machine, K.O.G.

I didnt see anyone mention it but the end credit art is by Faith Schaffer! Her site has TONS of art prints of similar style

For the future, when more episodes come out, I think it will be important to realise Frankie and Andi do not do the same thing. They are both engineers but Frankie is hardware whilst Andi is software. Together, they are the perfect "knights" to fix and maintain Gwen.

18:50 it's kinda brilliant that he shows the pliars and then it cuts to franky showing the two teeth she lost. One of them might not be related since she had that gap as a child but the other one is DEFINITELY to show he means business!

I'll be legitimately mad if this doesn't get the funding for a full season.

For their first 2D animation they managed to create possibly the greatest quality pilot ever produced.

The show is like a combination of BioShock, Alita battle Angel, and Disney World.

What is “Blue Lung”?

My theory is that the disease is caused by the blue smog from the Park Planet factories. I think it’s a byproduct of the chemical used to create the all the Princess Guinevere’s “blue blood”. The smog from the factories must be heavier than air so it stays on the surface. This created a “Blue Lung” epidemic for the surface and it’s now under quarantine, which explains why guests are prohibited from entering the surface.

It also explains why the park has such a bad reputation (not only from the live action remakes), everyone knows about this and sees any who works there (qrownies) as horrible people.

Before, I thought the daughter and Gwen were both the princess. After having watched the pilot, I’ve realized, Gwen was talking about herself. She doesn’t just the princess mascot, she’s the princess that has to escape them. Yet is still trying to get away. Machines that run on blood and fear? Gwen bleeds. She still technically has to be rescued. She’s the “Snow White” that wishes to be free, and no prince will save her. The daughter of the CEO, is “The Evil Queen”.

I like that it is setting up Olivia as a clear foil to Andi and Franky:
In their standing in society - Andi and Franky are on the lowest positions in society, cogs as Andi put it. --> Olivia as a figurative princess, an heir to a large family business (and effectively an island totalirian state).
In their knowledge and abilities - Andi is a software specialist, Franky is a hardware specialist, they work together and lift each other up --> Olivia, being the sole heir, is granted the level of education necessary to have both and excels at them, alone.
In their treatment of Guinevere - Andi and Franky help her and Franky wants her to live and make her own choices --> Olivia demands total obedience and insists the Guineveres are wrong for exhibiting free will.

The fact this company has branded faces on its giant robo enforcers is hellish. Imagine a gigantic Warhammer ass robot with Goofy's face on it chasing you. Its horrifying.

"Go binge it, you won't"
Me who watched their binge 4 times this year:
