If you look through Dana’s art, she’s into horror. She got some of it into Owl House but her personal art is much darker

"There's like body horror in this? Awesome."

The concept of a fully sentient robot, but they're only allowed to take actions that they're programmed to, is horrifying

If Olivia didn't have the robot, she definitely would've been tearing off the heads of small birds

did you notice the magazine he fell asleep to😭there are a lot in the pilot that are purely just making fun of disney like with the paper they showed with guinevere and said "too violent" to the hair

this show is not just a critique of Disney the corporation, but modern society as a whole. the road we're heading down leading to an authoritarian dystopia with the working class at the bottom of the pecking order. its startlingly meta

ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US

They said fuck two times in the episode before kwite noticed they said fuck

15:34 You're assuming Frankie, Andi, and Olivia are the same age when it's shown there was a good decade, at least between her Dad showing her the park and Frankie and Andi breaking in to hack the claw game.

9:54 I didn't catch until repeated watches that Frankie was the one who gave Andrea the answer she played off as "a hunch", and is apparently the more talented engineer-- that's sure to be a character dynamic that plays into the future.

Did anyone else notice that their house is inside the "head" of a giant Gwen statue? Maybe it represents how Gwen remembers them in a more "comfortable" setting? Am I reading too much into this?

Fun fact, the blue blood/gore is actually cobalt
Since there’s like a bunch of factories making cobalt the people who live there get cobalt poisoning.

I love that this show criticizes Disney and the entertainment industry as a whole, but it never shits on the genuine creativity and the humanity people put into their creations. Guinevere is consistently kind, friendly, and virtuous; she is the true heart of the theme park despite the rot.

OK, in my opinion it's the best glitch pilot to date.
(I still love all glitch shows but I'm a sucker for 2d animation)

31:00 Frankie's own subconscious called her Lady, so I think feminine pronouns are a safe bet.

I haven’t seen anyone point this out but at 33:40, according to the scans, GWEN HAS A BRAIN???

To be fair, Guens guts do not move, but hang down, impliyig that they are just some sort of cables and the blue stuff incide is pumped with some sort of system where one end has an empty vacuum in a container, and not contracting organs

This was probably the best paced pilot I've seen from glitch. Just enough information to get invested in the world and characters without overwhelming you with exposition. So excited for more!

32:41 I think it’s more about hiding the potential way Gwen fights. Think about it—this bot, unlike the others, was able to escape and already sees itself as different if the lady is that desperate to have her. Hiding Gwen’s true capabilities as a bot might actually be part of the deeper lore in the story.

Initially I thought the same about the budget, which sure it might be part of the reason but I also think it's to keep the audience curious about this Gwen and her capabilities.

1:32 he clocked that immediately, smart Kwite moment.
