He is the lead writing credit on every song. As Josianne said, he does all his own writing, frequently with a team. Julian Bunetta and John Ryan are frequent collaborators. They wrote and produced on the last 3 1D albums and Niall has stayed close to both of them. But yeah, the melody and lyric ideas always start with Niall.

Niall writes all of his songs, usually with collaborators.  This is definitely mostly a smile all the way through album (with a few emotional exceptions).

She Gets it from Her Mother reminds me of a plaque I saw years ago. It said, “Mirror, mirror on the wall I am my mother after all.”😂 Most of us don’t want to admit we’re like our mothers!

Niall said he got the lyric “your eyes could grow flowers” from what a fan wrote to him on social media. Since then he can’t find it anymore and has been looking for the person who wrote it to give them credit.

Enjoyed your reaction so far!❤

Die If I Don't has an Irish band playing at the end ...Beoga, who tours with Ed Sheeran...LOVE the Irish instruments...Niall sent this to them and asked if they could just record something for it...they were in Australia on tour with Ed and did this then sent it to him. He works with John Ryan and Julian Bunetta - worked with them for 15 years...they did 1D songs...they are good mates so they push Niall to write great lyrics and ge feels comfortable with them...Their are also 2 bonus tracks...one is "Mia" his girlfriend's name and the other is "Loneliest Girl In The World"...both SUPER sweet ..."End Of An Era" is a tribute to Liam...I LOVE your reaction as a fellow Texan, make sure you see him live...he is AWESOME live

You interpreted “Flowers”🌺correctly. Well done. Also Louis has “Sunflowers”🌻, Zayn has Blooming🌼, and Harry has “Coming Up Roses”🌹

Niall in the 1D days said he was intimidated by the writers they had that had been writing for years. He wrote some, but now as a solo artist he is the lead writer on all him songs. His first album he wrote when he was only 22-23 which I find crazy. Think about that when you listen to it and you’ll appreciate Flicker even more.

He wrote the album with it meant to be played live. So you are 10000% correct and it will sound fantastic live. Hope you’re going to a show or two. Niall is best experienced live.

Great reaction. Love Niall, seeing him next year. ✨

btw he has written all his own songs his entire solo career and OUR IRISH LAD IS SO IN LOVE...

I know the flowers lyric is from a fan tweet but I like to thing of it with a "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" interpretation. Her eyes are so powerfully kind that by just staring at parched land she can make flowers grow

This is the song he sang at Jool Holland and both the Big weekend and also during summertime ball I don’t think he’s done a BBC one live lounge yet so I think that’s where you heard it. This is for sure the song you would’ve heard. It’s been one that he’s played a lot of times and he will be playing it tonight. I’m doing Fallon as well and it was released as a single on the day that the album was released so it’s a radio song as well.

He writes all his own songs with collabs...but all his own lyrics...

I love Niall soOo much but based off the singles I was really scared I was gonna like this album that much: but I was so wrong! 🤗🙏 I think it’s my 2nd favorite of his (Heartbreak Weather still reigns supreme 🙌!)

Niall curses pretty regular but knows when on American tv he cant do that...
