If you don't think American "English" is simplified, just listen to your President talk.

Websters dictionary (American) has approximately 470,000 entries, vs Collins (English) at 750,000 entries, so yes the American dialect is simplified

As an English person the idea of an app forcing me to use the American version of English drives me insane!

The movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone got a name change to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in America because Americans have trouble with complicated words like philosopher.

I was once asked when our independence day is, I answered "We don't have one, everyone has one from us!" 🤣

USA destroys the language. Then tells the rest of us we’re wrong. Arrogant country.

The spoken language is dumbed down in America. You don't have an extensive vocabulary. Words are simplified.

UK glasses / US eye glasses, UK horse riding / US horseback riding, UK path / US sidewalk . simplified = having to tell someone where to put the obvious. 😁
