In this video, we react to what it's like grocery shopping at a British supermarket! We knew the UK generally has better food prices than what we're used to in the US, but seeing just how low some of the prices are at Tesco is honestly mind blowing.

The funniest part is that loads of Brits will watch this thinking “Tesco… cheap?” 😂 What’s easy to miss is how brutally competitive UK grocery retail is, especially with Aldi/Lidl and the huge role of supermarket own-brands, which keeps pressure on prices in a way American visitors often notice immediately. I’ve ended up filming a lot of ordinary British places on my channel, so seeing what our friends across the pond find surprising is always fascinating. Really enjoyed this because you noticed the everyday stuff we’ve completely stopped noticing ourselves.

Believe me milk section is cold enough. To the extent that during recent heatwaves people hung out in frozen and dairy aisles for a little relief 😂

"French fries" in the U.K. are THIN cut chips, like McDonalds. All other cuts, are CHIPS. French fries are little used. Small stock held.

The open fridges for milk - its where we go on hot days when we don't have AC at home.

The milk is behind something called an Air curtain, it is basically in a fridge without having doors for convenience, however it does make the whole isle 🥶 cold,

If you buy an unsliced loaf of breed you can get it sliced in the shop and choose the thickness of a slice. There is no charge

What's funny about these comparison videos is that things like history and architecture are all very interesting, but what really fascinates people is the difference in the day-to-day stuff like supermarkets, buses and plugs.

My Tesco Club Card vouchers I hold onto until Christmas and they more or less pay for my Christmas food haul (minus the alcohol). A great saving at that time of year.
