Hell yeah dude the "good evening" intro is back 🔥🔥🔥 a man who listens to his audience!

i'm so glad you covered The Howling! if i had a nickel for every time i tried to get a friend to watch "the howling" only for them to recommend "an american werewolf in london", i'd have two nickels. i'm not complaining or anything but it's weird that it happened twice.

The drunken "She turned into a werewolf and they shot her" was a family joking catchphrase with my Dad who recently passed.  I've shared this with my daughter who now says this in the same way anytime anyone mentions any werewolf film or story.  It is a weird phrase to find heartwarming, but it always will be that for me.

it's my favorite werewolf movie, and made werewolves my favorite monsters. the "making of" has some really funny stuff' Robert Picardo was almost choked out by all those air-bladders, the big reveal at the end in the barn was supposed to have way more people, naked for some reason Dee Wallace walked in, saw boobs everywhere and walked right back out. then with the wolves trapped in the barn on fire, they wanted a moment of the wolves breaking through the walls, but by this point they were running out of time and money, so they put a dummy wolf on an air cannon and shot it through the barn. it looked just as hilariously bad as it is described, a wolf dummy shot out an air cannon. that did not make it in the final cut. i still love it. and it's a lot of the same team and actors who would work on Explorers which i also love

Oh my god. This is the god damn movie I have been trying to find for so long. I saw this when I was a kid and could never remember its name or find exactly which one it was.

Love this movie so much but the Pomeranian at the end always threw me off 😂😂

I fell in love with Werewolves after watching this!!!  Even though I could not sleep for like two weeks!!!  Let's go!!!

12:11 Robert Picardo was the Doctor from Star Trek Voyager, Meg Mucklebones from Legend (RIP Tim Curry), and the model for the Split Faced Thing in John Carpenter's The Thing.

Yes it is 😊 The Howling is my favorite! Silver Bullet is my fav cozy werewolf movie.

I think another thing to note about the transformation is that it keeps in mind that such an immediate change would demand so much energy that your temperature skyrockets to boiling degrees— if you wouldn’t die from the shock, organ failure, etc. then you would be cooked alive.
At first I didn’t realize this is why the werewolves in this movie boiled and bubbles.

Not enough people talk about this movie. I absolutely recommend it if you're into An American Werewolf. This one will haunt you long after you've watched it.

This is one of the first werewolf movies I saw. I loved the work that went into making it.

I watched Late Phases last night and its in the running

The Howling is clearly one of my favourite werewolf movies….

You ever read the book? It's a lot more darker and sinister than even the movie was.

Rob’s last name is pronounced Bo-teen.

I credit THAT scene with Marsha as why I grew up with a thing for witchy goth women.

I wasn't old enough to have seen the movie during its initial run, but it was a frequently watched VHS we had growing up. It's actually my favorite werewolf movie, ever. Years later I read the three Howling books by Gary Brandner, and while they were very different from the film, they are definitely worth reading. As for Karen and how she wound up at the Colony and her strained marriage with Bill, well...

Spoilers for an almost 50-year-old book:
Karen is a housewife to her businessman husband, Roy (Bill, in the film). One day an ex-con handyman at their apartment complex SA's her. The book goes into graphic description of this. She was also about six weeks pregnant at the time (unknown to her and Roy) and she has a miscarriage due to the assault.

OMG the Pomeranian comment!! I have always thought that her transformation looked ridiculous and it kinda ruined the movie for me- thanks for mentioning it!

The Company of Wolves is my personal favorite
