THERE IS NO CUSTODES OR ELDAR BECAUSE ONLY A FEW PEOPLE RESPONDED - I SHOW SOME AT THE END SORRY

agents but no craftworld eldar, i see how it is

Eldar's biggest complaint is getting our best rules nerfed and then given un-nerfed to other factions.

Every army's biggest complaint can be summarised in two words: Games Workshop

Hormi, I think the people that said the Genestealer Cults don't have enough characters were messing with you.
More than half the roster are characters!

Dark Angels player here; my biggest complaint is how many extra Deathwing Knights kits I have to buy to get my legion specific greatshields and Terminator bits.

Even in debt i serve the Omnissiah

As a CSM player myself, my biggest complaint is lack of variety in our infantry. Youd think we're khorne with how melee focused it is

14:30 berserker warband isnt good because it buffs berserkers, but the +1 attack and +2 strength buffs EVERYTHING. between that and the really good strats makes warband the most consistantly good detachment for world eaters

Beastmen player's biggest complaint is that they have to change their bases every year

GSC are also horrendously expensive since it's basically a small model horde army.

Was very tempted to jump on that train for an alt army, but I could get any 2 of Custodes, GK, or necrons for the same price, while all being easier to both paint and play

7:33 YOU WOT!?

They turned Necrons into Game of Thrones

The issue with the predator getting sent to legends is that everyone fucking hates the gladiator

Tyranid Player here, and I want to add in something - the issue with the Tyranid datasheets isn't that they're bad, it's that they are RELIANT on a very specific mechanic that isn't explained well and isn't obvious unless you've done some game design classes:
The Tyranid datasheets lack key survivability keywords BECAUSE they have units designated to give those keywords to an area around them: Venomthropes give widespread Stealth, Zooanthropes give 6+Invulns, Psychophage used to give 6+FNP. In fact, ALL of the Tyranid datasheets are designed with this idea in mind of having a bit of everything by having one of every data sheet on the field at once and all within 6" of each other... which physics and movement speeds don't really allow for.

Thus, you have Terminator-durable Warriors without good saves nor good invulns or FNPs because it's expected they'll be hand-holding a squad of Zooeys, Venos, or a Psychophage all the way up the table; you have Hormagaunts who have to give up their incredible speed if they want to hang out with the Zooanthropes or Venomthropes that would protect them from ranged attacks; and the only things with invulns natively are the Psyker-based Synapse creatures, the named characters, and the Von Ryan's Leapers (for some reason).

You thus end up with an army that moves as fast as its slowest models, only survives hits if it's all huddled together, and stops functioning if you don't buy all the different units.

I said it in a reply, but this honestly deserves to be a standalone comment so people can properly see it.

Tyranids have a few other problems too (apart from having the second-worst codex of 10th edition), I'll make a quick list:

-a bunch of our models are priced at a 1-1 dollar-to-point ratio, leaving us in the same place as admech (with worse outliers like the 35pts pyrovores costing ~73$ Canadian).

-We have a bunch of old sculpts, and we're talking 18-30 years old, not some 2016 bullshit. The warrior sculpt was made in the 90's and repacked in the early 2000's iirc, so GW claims it's not as old as it really is.

-We have a bunch of iconic units that have simply been abandoned over time as everything else gets power crept. Carnifex are some of the poster boys for this, but let me tell you something that'll curl your toes: Warriors have been T5 and 3W for 17-18 years now, since 5th edition. They had 3W for like 10+ solid years in a game where standard armour marines only had 1W per model, and now they're the same toughness with a worse save & ballistic skill. My boys are the meme of the skeleton at the bottom of the pool

Deathguard should get the Custodes treatment when their army codex is up finally. I feel like that would make Deathguard so much cooler

14:30 the world eater problem goes for all the data sheets not just the zerks as all of the units are balanced around them getting the buff from that detachment

The World Eaters section isn't quite right. The berserker warband rule affect every world eater unit. This detachment is so much stronger for your whole army than the other detachments that if you have a balanced list, no other detachment is as good. Only a few of the strategems only affect berserkers. The other detachments affect specific units and are for skew lists.

I would be more happy about Votann Yield Points if their application wasn't so arbitrary. We have Armour of Contempt, but can only use it in the second half of the game for some reason.

The concept seemed to be you can spend points to boost strategem effects, but it feels like the designers didn't really know what to do with them, and other armies can just use their strategems that sometimes do the same thing, but with no restrictions.
