Everyone playing with New rules and toys, and GW Just cornered us back to spamming exocrines and maleceptors. What a time to be alive

Maybe hive guard shock cannons? Or hyper adapted ravners with possibility a psychophage?

The only plan I came up to deal with this problem is to use "Strategic Reserves" and this set up:
- "Broodlord" with 10x"Genestealers". (In reserves)
- A squad of "Hyperadapted Raveners" with "Raveners". (In reserves)
- 2 bricks of 6x"Hive Guards" armed with [Indirect Fire]. (On the board, behind a wall or terrain, at the edge of our deployment zone)

The strategy is to keep bombarding the enemy units with the "Hive Guards" thanks to [Indirect Fire], while staying hidden behind a wall or terrain.
=> Make sure to have some spore to screen the backfield, as the space behind them will be needed for our troops in reserves.

When the opponent moves closer to the "Hive Guards" to charge, we RAPID INGRESS our units in the open space left behind the "Hive Guards" in our deployment zone.
=> That's the reason why the "Hive Guards" are at the edge of our deployment zone, to function as a meat wall against the opponent, that can't reach behind them.

Now if the opponent charges our "Hive Guards", they have to chew a unit with <<7 Toughness 3+Saving Throw and 24 Total Wounds>>.
Meanwhile our units of "Genestealers" and "Raveners" can safely charge the next turn without risking being obliterated first.
=> The units in Strategic Reserve can be whatever we want; I am using "Genestealer" and "Ravener" only as an example.

Does it bother me to use my "Hive Guard" as a sacrificial wall of flesh?
Yes, it does.
Am I willing to make this sacrifice for a chance at victory?
Yes, I am.
Do I have a second squad of "Raveners" to add to my "Hyper-adapted Raveners"?
No. And what's more, I still have to finish painting the first ones.

Even if they run the sisters you just assume that the shooting is damage 2 instead of 3 which isn't terrible

Boy am I glad I'm also playing custodes, and not just tyranids and battle sisters.

Lash whip prime and 6 melee warriors kill 3 of those Custodes profiles on average. 20% chance of killing 4.

I think it'll be rough trying to melee Custodes. A lot of the time they'll have something left alive to hurt you back.

I treat custodes as tanks when facing them. Light weapons are only for cleanup.

Toxicrene mentioned!
