vvv SPOILERS FOR THE VIDEO vvv

Do not use this video for legal advice. It wasn’t even remotely comprehensive, and I am not a lawyer!

Giant huge humungous thank you to Devin (Legal Eagle) and my best good friend Timon for their help with this one.

Timon literally helps companies make little gadgets like smart watches and PCB shit. I don't know anything about it but here's his website if you need to hire someone for that: https://diodes-delight.com
It doesn't need to be said but here's Legal Eagle's channel: https://www.youtube.com/@LegalEagle/videos
And lastly, a link to the mod: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1gpSKpavwpFA0EqndNmzrDvRmRh24UnNa?usp=share_link

Have a great day everyone.

This dude’s gonna single-handedly delay GTA 6 for several years 😫

21:47 "When you forget that things had to be built, you risk inheriting them without gratitude" is such a great quote dude

2:40 As a CA resident, I can assure you that plants and poles blocking regulatory signs is so common we joke about it being a requirement

The stop/wrong way HAS to be deliberate lol

This is the definition of "I have never in my life considered even coming close to caring enough to ask this question, but since you mention it, I'm extremely curious."

"What people really want are highly technical traffic manual analysis videos." He's got us pegged

Buckle up. It's videogame infrastructure breakdown time

Your channel is at it's best when you are the youtube equivalent of the guy who shows up at city council meetings with a 30 page document of regulatory complaints.  I have an retired Army buddy who basically started being "that guy" when he got pulled over for a ticket when conflicting speed signs told him the wrong speed limit.  You could find him on the road side measuring whether signs were too close to the road, too far, too close to other signs of a similar nature etc.  He would show up at monthly city council meetings and reserve time to just lodge complaints.  Most of them the city HAD to address, because they were defacto out of state compliance... Love your channel man!

In Germany we have additional signs on almost every traffic light. The signs are to be ignored if the traffic light is operating normally. If a traffic light is faulty or not working at all, the signs work as a backup for the traffic light

I’m a Traffic engineer with a state Department of Transportation and I’m gonna send this to my coworkers. They are gonna love this!

10:26 "What people really want are highly technical traffic manual analysis videos" ME ME I WANT THAT IM PEOPLE

Good job...he officially got GTA 6 delayed lmao😂😂😂😂

Getting Legal Eagle on for this was great. It's delightfully silly to get a real lawyer's opinion on video game logic.

I wasn’t expecting LegalEagle to actually show up

I would argue the construction warning sign is also non compliant just because its sitting next to a work zone thar is not OSHA compliant.

There should be a concrete barrier in front of the opening so to prevent falling.

As a lifelong California resident and a Professional Commercial Truck Driver, the only one of these mistakes that I haven't seen is the small "wrong way" under a stop sign. Everything else, while confusing and not helpful to drivers, is certainly accurate to California's reality of signage.

I know that you probably get a million video ideas, but I do want to suggest "grungy walls in video games." In real life, a worn-down wall or floor is a sign of disrepair, that nobody's hand has touched it recently. But in video games, a grungy wall means the exact opposite - some developer has to manually go in and intentionally add scratches, dirt, and other imperfections to a normally-pristine wall texture to show decay. I know this makes me a freak, but I've always loved just staring at walls in games since these sorts of details started to be added around the PS1 era. Alien: Isolation gets my vote for "best rundown wall textures in video games."

Fun fact from recent civil engineer graduate. The size of the text on signs also depends on the speed of the road. I highly doubt the interstate signage is properly large enough in gta V. There are formulas for how large the font is, how tall the sign must be, how far from the road it must be, etc. Don't even get me started on standards for geometry and size of lanes/shoulders. Also add in the fact local communities often don't even follow state standards in that regard. While they are supposed to, unless the road is state funded they don't really have to follow everything in the design manual. While states can refuse approval for such roads, no one from the state looks close enough to know.

You got Rockstar games sweating while making GTA 6
