crazed man follows people for thousands of miles, doesn’t understand why they’re acting irrationally

"The developers told me all I had to do was spawn, drive a little, then despawn when the player leaves. Why tf is he following me?"

@maxhaxx 4 months ago

Yeah, they are not programmed to last that long. They were all experiencing existential crisis.

@hamsandwich8063 7 months ago

Maybe they don't go anywhere because a madman is following them 🤷‍♂️

the 1st car followed is driving ENTIRELY sensibly. They noticed you following them so did not 1 but 2 circles of the airport confirming you WERE following them. They went through not 1, not 2 but 3 disguise changes (masterfully done) And you STILL FOLLOWED THEM. Their driving only got more and more sporadic for entirely valid reasons! Ofcourse that Hispanic brunet is hysterically trying to get away, i would too! My heart goes out to that poor fat, black, gentleman who is also a white, blond woman but may also be a Hispanic brunet. Truly an immersive NPC.

Maybe this is why GTA 6 is taking 60 years to make 💀

I love the fact that the ai in these games are so well coded but then the second they're carefully observed and studied they completely break down into nonsense.

Police arriving on site of a rogue bus causing mayhem and immediately shooting a black man on scene is the most realistic event depicted in this video

@eggyolk8067 4 months ago

The NPCs are self aware and panics after realising the player is continuously watching them lol

As a firetruck driver, I can assure you that the ai is very realistic. On multiple occasions I’ve made sure to swerve on to the sidewalk to hit an unsuspecting civilian.

4:35 “at this point I had no clue why she was so frightened” the man said after following behind her closely for the last 10 miles then proceeding to get out his car and chase her on foot 😂

The city has a functioning bus system on paper. But when they get a whiff of a real player becomes like The Truman show. And they panic

All the NPCs know you're stalking them. 😆

I hate it when I book greyhound trip but end up stranded at a gas station for 2 days because the unionized driver needed a smoke break.

@falkez1514 4 months ago

nah bro i couldnt breathe watching the firefighter slam the brakes and just splash a random car out of nowhere LMAOOO

NPCs become aware you are following them, on foot or in a car. They will eventually ignore laws to try and flee from you. Usually ends with them pulling over and running on foot.

I did this in Spiderman on the PS4, there's one mission where someone says they're going home after you save them, and I decided to tail them. They drove around aimlessly for a long time, making a few loops, and I was going to give up, but they eventually pulled into an apartment parking lot and stopped moving. They didn't get out of their car, but that was acceptable enough realism for me.

"Why have you been standing at this gas station for more than 24 hours?"
"I could ask you the same"

Everyone knows the primary function of the Los Santos public transit system is to endlessly ferry ghosts around the town until they make peace with their death and move on to the next realm. You've witnessed the end to several heartwrenching dramas in quick succession.
