Ukraine Waited for Russian Fighter Reinforcements to Land in Crimea — Then BLEW Them Up

Ukraine waited until Russian fighter reinforcements had landed at Saky Air Base in Crimea — then launched 15 FP-2 drones toward the airfield.

But Russia had prepared a layered defense.

A newly deployed Buk-M3 detected the formation before it reached the Black Sea. A BK-16 patrol boat intercepted the survivors over the water. Then a Su-35 joined the hunt, using its Irbis-E radar, OLS-35 system, R-73 missiles, and 30 mm cannon to engage the drones flying just feet above the sea.

Those that survived still had to break through Krasukha-4 electronic warfare, Pantsir-S1 missiles and cannon fire, a ZU-23-2 gun position, and small-arms fire around the airfield.

Out of 15 FP-2 drones, only two reached the final target area — one heading toward the fuel facilities and the other toward a Su-24 parked at the base.

This video breaks down the entire engagement, layer by layer, from the first Buk-M3 interception to the final seconds over Saky Air Base.
