Sgt Stubby: Best Defense dog
Sgt Chips: Best Offense dog

When the Sgt. Stubby movie was being advertised on FB, there was a soldier in the comments bitching that he "couldnt get promoted, but a fucking dog makes Sgt?" To which someone else replies "How many German spies did YOU capture?"

I about busted a gut.

I also suggest Count Dankula's video of Rags the war dog. Another American war dog that was actually effected by gas. It's a great story to watch.

22:20 every time I see this photo I can’t help but think that Conroy is just there like, “I don’t know what to do here, so I’m just gonna smile.”😂

Ok I looked up why Zimmerman admitted to sending the telegraph. Hethought it was the best way to minimize the diplomatic fallout. It was meant to confirm the authenticity to the mexicans and, by framing at as a defensive pact to only activate IF America joined the war, calm America to keep us out of the war. It backfired spectacularly.

According to Google that man was William Thomas, Commander of the Purple Heart

28:02 Chips was formally trained to do those while Sgt. Stubby wasn't

Been waiting for this one! ❤

19:30 It came out in 2018! It's an animated film called "Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero"

10:10 said it on multiple other reactions and on TFE’s video, this is likely an instance of similar stories from the same general area blending together.
The 1st ID also had a stray dog they adopted named Rags who specialized in helping run communications because his small size meant he was quick and nimble, so he wouldn’t be able to get caught in barbed wire or easy to aim at for the Germans.
Rags was wounded in a gas attack, likely just before the 26th relieved the 1st, and was sent back to America.

If you’re curious, Count Dankula has a video on Rags, among other mad lads.

30:28 you have it out for nick with these pauses 😂

this site has a hero watching..  TUFYS  ( thank you for your service)
im old now, but remember when valor meant something.   98C ( MOS ) proud to have served,   proud of my DD214.  Love to see the young carry on in honor

Tactically Acquired also made a video about war dogs not long after this came out from the same book.

The article about Stubby passing away has a spectacular headline:

‘Stubby of A.E.F. Enters Valhalla.’

All the good doggos

Really great reaction man 🎉 Nick is an amazing talent. Love your channel bto ❤ Carry on.

See Spot Run is fantastic! One of my boys' Fav movies, too.

there's another channel similar to nick's called tactically acquired.  he released a video on the war dog program at about the same time as nick released this one.

I'm still waiting on you to react to mikeburnfire's campfire/military stories. Seems right up your alley.

/(-__-) these are the good boys Sir
