So this absolute madman:

-Flew a completely unarmored, unarmed, civilian transport plane in THE PACIFIC THEATER OF WW2
-Took a completely destroyed B-17 in a junkyard and made it flyable just to fly it in the same pacific theater
-Performed combat bombing raids BY HIMSELF AS THE ONLY ONE IN THE DAMN PLANE
-Redesigned the A-20 to perform a job that didn't exist beforehand, then did it again just because he got one upped the first time
-Redesigned the B-25 to be capable of skip bombing because sure why wouldn't you
-Performed an amphibious landing onto a hostile island
-STOLE A PIECE OF ENEMY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT to build a runway
-Survived getting hit directly with white phosphorous in an enemy bombing raid of the airfield he literally just built

and all of this stemmed from the fact that McArthur was a coward and a liar. Ya know, McArthur may have actually helped the US war effort by sheer accident by pissing this guy off. As always, F McArthur but thank god for the brave souls who stepped up to fix the messes he made

Instead of Strategically Transferring Equipment to an Alternate Location, dude was outright conducting Tactical Hardware Expropriation for Further Tasking

Pappy was my mom’s Great Uncle. I heard so many stories and inherited some books about him from my grandfather. He definitely was a hero in our family and I was so excited to find this. I love sharing this with my children!

My grandfather, rest his soul, was one of the pilots who flew one of the field modified B-25 G's. Yes, the one with the tank cannon mounted in the nose. He said every time they fired off one of those rounds, it felt like the plane stopped in mid air for a couple of seconds. He also flew B-17's during his time serving in the Army Air Corp. Boy, did he have some stories to tell. He's now enjoying his eternal retirement with my grandma who helped build B-17's and B-25's during the war.

Being the guy who in highschool was made fun of and bullied for studying and researching WW2 and the incredible Acts of Men with so little to use at their fingertips always made me inspired to try and tell their history. Watching the Fat Electrician and finding that there are now hundreds of thousands more interested in History because of content creators like him has given me a sense of pride to continue.

For those that don't know.  An A-20 can hit near on 400 in a dive and level out at 330, a B25 is lucky to get 260 with a tail wind.
