We also dive into the EWR “Home Alone” kid story, whether pilot phraseology has gotten worse over the years, and if JFK controllers really are as rude as their reputation suggests. Really appreciate everyone watching. As I mentioned my friend Willi is a good dude and recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. If you want to help him out, the GoFundMe link is here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-william-manchester-fight-ms

Since 911, passengers aren't taking crap from idiots on aircraft anymore.

I really enjoy how the two of you communicate when you have very differing opinions. Both kindly and clearly giving their reasons for their opinion and not trying to convince the other that he is wrong. Makes for a very interesting discussion. ❤

you see a big guy wearing a shirt that literally says "jiu jitsu" in big letters and you still tried this? now that's just funny 😂

Tell your friend keep positive! I was diagnosed at 49 and continued working to retirement at 62. I always maintain that my positive outlook was important in my battle with it. Gave myself daily injections for 15 years and now off them at 67. I am a retired union Pipefitter down in west Tennessee. Stay well!

In 1980, about 15, went on a school trip from Michigan to Washington DC. While at the Air and Space Museum. I went out the wrong side of the building to catch my bus missing it. The bus left. It was getting dark an i called home collect not knowing what to do. I actuality walked up to the Capitol Building where security took me in and helped figure out how to get in contact with my group and where we we staying. The buss showed up at the Capitol, with every on it.

If you're going to do job swaps, here are our suggestions: for both a pilot and the CEO (not at the same time) send them to these jobs in this order: 1) put them in charge of the airline operations center on a day when O'Hare and/or DFW are forecast to be hit with summer storms; 2) ticket counter agent for a shift, 3) ramp supervisor for a shift, 4) gate agent for a shift, and 5) rear coach galley fight attendant for a transcontinental flight. I'm sure that would be quite the eye opener for either person.

25 years working at a major airline customer service, you go down and tell the family gather your belongings, come with me and lets go find your kids. Once off the airplane you shut the door, pull the jetway and plane departs. You arent going to delay the airplane because somebody cant keep up with their kids. Rebook for later travel.

I didn't know how the shoe bomber was restrained. LOVE IT! 6:48

If you're an adult male, you immediately neutralize any threat to the aircraft. Choke them out ASAP! Well done, sir

Early in my career at KC Center, one of my trainers was doing a FAM (Familiarization) Trip where you sit up in the jump seat with the pilots. The lead attendant, at some portion into the flight, went to the captain and informed him one of the passengers was pretty intoxicated and behaving badly. The captain asked my trainer, who was about 6'3", "would you mind helping me"? He said "sure, what do you need". "All I need you to do is keep a stern looking face and have your FAA badge clearly visible. I don't need you to speak or add anything else". He says, "Sure!" So, he hands off the control to the FO, tells the Attendant to bring the passenger up to the front and proceeds to read him the riot act. He motions to the Controller (we had to wear a suit when we did these FAM trips) and tells him how they are getting an inspection right now and the FAA is ready to put you in handcuffs by the time we land. He then adds, "I've managed to talk him down a little and give you the opportunity to correct your behavior. Can you do that?" The person didn't make a peep the rest of the flight!
