Watch AD FREE here: AD FREE: Does Xi Jinping Have Trump In A C...

As Trump becomes the first American president to personally welcome a visiting head of state off a plane since JFK greeted Harold Macmillan in 1962, did his summit with President Xi signal improving US-China relations, or does Xi have his counterpart in an economic chokehold? With the standoff between protesters and members of the pro-British Protestant Orange Order in Northern Ireland showing no sign of resolution, is the region's fragile peace in danger of unravelling? And as violence erupts in Ethiopia, is Africa's second most populous country on the brink of civil war – and does it risk dragging other regional actors into a wider conflict spanning the Horn of Africa and the Gulf?

Join Rory and Alastair as they answer all these questions and more in this week's edition of Question Time.

Trump is the first orange man in history to want a united Ireland.

Trump is afraid of anyone that actually wields the level of power he craves.

Xi came to America and got what he wanted - to embarrass trump and humiliate the US

Calling China paranoid about the West is pretty wild, coming from a British man who knows his history.

I would say they have fewer illusions about the West than we westerners do.

I'm still trying to get my head around Rory declaring himself as middle class.

CORRECTION: The Northern Ireland parade was approved by the Parade Commission. The High Court merely said the Commission's approval was legally done (legal process) and therefore the Court had no grounds to overturn/set aside the approval of the parade. The real question is why in the world the Commission thought it was a good idea to approve the parade when they had withheld approval for three decades. (The approval included an explanation which glosses the historical and political controversy.). A second question is why the Parade Commission is bearing no consequence for creating this mess. There has been no acknowledgment of responsibility for creating this mess.

It's fascinating how fond Captain Bone Spurs is of saluting, knowing he serves nobody but himself and his cronies.

Thank you for the parade explanation. I also had no idea what it was about.

What was so significant for me about Klopp's comment, in addition to saying about our flag and positive patriotism, was saying that he talked about how lucky and privileged he felt that he grew up here and that this was true for EVERYONE who lives here. And that the national team is an average of today's Germany and he looked at what this country HAS to offer and NOT what it does not have to offer.
This went down very, very well here.
In English I think you would call it a mic drop moment, we call it "eine Ansage machen."
With love from Germany, Eva.
P.S.: I'm quite delighted with your new prime minister.

2008 Global financial meltdown (caused by our incompetent financial sector); Hank Poulson sought Chinese assurance that they would keep buying our Govt. paper we turned around and created QE using corp. junk bonds. China quite correctly saw this as the usual US stabbing in the back. The US then started jumping up and down saying CHina was now our enemy. Amazing, ludicrous and utterly stupid.

Charging an electric car in roughly 300 seconds is going to require a direct connection to a sub-station.

My Dad was very keen to see this tapestry. He was educated in Tain which was awarded Royall Burgh status in 1066.

Alister I'm disappointed that a former coms guy would miss the opportunity for a catchy title. Should be:

"Does Xi have Trump by the short & curlies?"
