“It’s her birthday I’m not putting her in a car seat” 💀 💀 girl how did you plan to get to the aquarium

22:59 as a natural ginger, these types of mothers are honestly kind of triggering to me.

i grew up being forbidden to do anything with my hair, too, and every single decision had to go through my mother. it was downright awful.

any child should have a say on what their hair looks like, it’s such a major part of self expression that i genuinely cannot comprehend how these mothers don’t understand that all they are doing is causing their children to hate their own hair.

So, he didn't miss her birthday, he just missed the birthday party she hosted. Yeah, she's in the wrong—and was very disingenuous in her first video.

she said she didn't wanna take the baby to Dad's house cuz she didn't wanna put the baby in and out of a car seat on her bday, but she wanted to take her to the aquarium or zoo, which would require putting the baby in and out of a car seat 🤨

hate that the child getting her hair dyed was immediately assumed to be the stepmothers decision - she’s literally with her father?? why is he not being blamed?? the villain stepmother angle is so icky and I hate to think that’s how the mother sees things all the time

With the response in the dyed hair situation, I think they could’ve defended themselves without divulging SO MUCH. Just say “She couldn’t play baseball so we wanted to do something to make her happy” you don’t need to get into your daughter’s mental health on the internet!!!

I feel like what the first woman is experiencing is disappointment with having a child without being together with that child’s father. I mean she even said “I wanted to do things as a family”. that’s an unrealistic expectation if you’re no longer a couple. that’s why she’s angry at him for having a different commitment and ruining that fantasy, and she’s projecting it on her 1yo. and I mean it’s understandable that this is not how she imagined parenting life.. but didn’t she sign up for it? I have no idea when they broke up, if it was before or after the kid was born, but it sounds like not an ideal situation to bring a kid into if you can’t handle coparenting.

Girl, just say mum 😅 you sound like you’re being held at gunpoint and forced to say “mom.”

I just feel so bad for the kids in these situations. Taking your co-parenting arguments to social media is CRAZY. Growing up in a broken family is hard enough. I totally agree with that one comment. A lot many parents in these situations care more about "winning" or getting their way than they do about keeping the fights away from the child. The hair dye went away so quickly and she didn't have an allergic reaction to it or anything, so creating this big argument with the co-parents and bringing it so social media when it could have just been a conversation where the mom expressed concern and frustration would have been more than sufficient. This little kid said she wanted to color her hair as the thing that would cheer her up when she was sad and it turned into this big problem between her parents. What happens next time when she is sad and is now scared to say what will cheer her up?

You can celebrate your baby’s birthday the next weekend. How selfish to expect a husband to let his friend down on his wedding day.

I mean the kid being so young, I have a bit of an understanding for the mum, but c’mon. It’s a dark purple PEEKABOO. It’s not like they dyed it neon yellow.

I have a feeling the dad purposely didn’t ask the mum because she’s got a hard-in for her precious daughter having long, lucious, natural, beautiful ginger hair 🥺 (sarcasm) and that he just wanted his daughter to be happy.

My mother never let me dyeor cut my hair because it was so incredibly precious to HER that now I hate having long hair.

wait til these people discover r/AIO or r/AITA subreddits lol

22:57 as a natural ginger, my parents didn’t let me touch my hair either, and honestly it was awful. It’s my hair and now that I’m an adult, my hair is beetlejuice green. Suckers.

Talking about your daughter's father while she is playing right behind you. I know she is a one year old and can't understand it, but I still find it off-putting.

I know it's not the point, but it struck me as really funny when the last woman said "I'm teaching him that you have to pay for stuff even when it's your birthday" and then a couple minutes later she's like "these nails were gifted to me by my dad." Like okay, so you do know what a gift is. 😂

The first creator failed (on purpose) to mention that the dad WAS THERE when the baby woke up on her birthday, he came in the morning for her birthday, he just didn’t go to the party. So it is blown out of proportion, of course on purpose.

also i think the nails comment is because she's nickel-and-diming her child but then has massive nails on that cost money. And if they were a gift then she understands the concept of gifts and shouldn't be making her son pay, yknow?

I feel for the kiddo. My son's dad and I never have these problems because if my ginger son wants to dye is hair blue, who are we to say no? And this HAS happened, several times! We both love seeing him come to our homes with a cool new look. He loves dyeing his hair, painting his nails, etc. Self expression is sooooo important for kids.

The nice thing about cats and other pets is that no matter the age, you can always call them baby.

Here’s the thing: ultimately, people need to stop having kids with people that have completely different parenting styles. The miscommunications are only going to continue for the rest of the child’s life.

The thing is, I don’t necessarily have a problem with people coming to the internet about these things, but I also think the people that tend to do so don’t seem to have the personality traits to handle what comes with it.
