Great recipe. I’ve made a few different chicken pies and they all came out well. A couple were a bit rich because of the heavy cream. Tried this one and it’s as good as any and a lot easier and less time consuming to make. And the extra pepper was a banger. Cheers Andy

One of the best cooks on YouTube!

Bold of you to assume I have a fridge big enough to stick a whole-ass tray pan in it 🤣

Andy, thanks for putting up a cooler weather recipe for us here in colder climes in the Northern hemisphere. I am excited for oven roasting weather after a long hot summer. Chur

As Chef John says "hot roux, cold milk, no lumps"

Don't worry Andy you definitely aren't getting a copyright strike for that singing performance 😂

This has been a go to recipe for me now! Great for meal propping lunches for the week

This a beautiful pie, nice work. I can't wait to cook this.

Excellent👏🏻 w mashed on the side !

Perfectly paced, well-organised step-by-step execution. Just how a recipe ought to be presented, and a PROPER chicken pie at the end of it. Perfect for the onset of autumn and the cooler evenings.

With the seasons starting to change this looks delicious. Adding this to my list of NZ pies to try and make.

Andy - thank you so much for the recipe and great tips ✨

honestly extra of that pie filling on toast sounds really good right now

Yum -- thanks Chef 👊🏽

Pro tip: having cooked pies in those springform pans and experiencing many of the "how the hell do I get it out?" moments, just put the base of the pan upside down at the beginning before building your pie. Makes getting it out so much easier!

To avoid the lip at the bottom, flip the bottom of the pan so it’s upside down … this also makes removing the pie from the pan much easier.

When I do the pastry-all-around chicken pie filling, I’ll add some cooked rice to it. Absorbs the moisture but adds great flavor and texture. Makes the filling stiffer for clean slicing.

love this. chillin and learning all at the same time👌

looks amazing! labor of love

Omg.  So Yummy!! Finally someone cooking something you can taste through the TV. Amazing. 😂😂😂
