I watch every single one of your videos now make me a sandwich

I've seen cocktail youtubers getting progressively more drunk through a video, but seeing Andy get more meat-delirious as the video went on was absolutely delightful.

The ingredient missing from the donner is regret

To me as a German from Cologne, this Döner Kebap hurt a little.

I love how much of a down to earth dork Andy is.   Just seems to love life and not be embarrassed about himself, great stuff.

The Croque Monsieur is OK but the Croque Madame is incredible.  The addition of the Egg also makes it a bit lighter.

On the Francesinha - the cheese goes over the bread and melted, then the sauce is poured over it.

Best kebab is with German döner sauce. Hot red sauce or just sriracha. Red onion, cored tomato, parsley, olive oil and sumak salad(I like to take off insides of the tomato first, slice them and salt them, then set them aside while I slice onion, they will release some excess water on cutting board instead of bowl). Salted and squeezed thinly sliced red cabbage, also add bit of sugar and finish with lemon or vinegar. Pickled Pepperoncini.
Then just assemble in pita. Or eat with fries. Pita pocket is definitely one I prefer vs rolled kebab.

One ingredient missing is cheese on top, then you top the sauce that must be hot so the cheese melts. Alternatively take the sandwich to oven to grill cheese, then top up with sauce ready for serving.
Secret ingredient for the sauce, its prawn stock and tabasco. Some french fries to mop up the sauce is also great. But great attempt Andy, love it.

The amount of preparation that was done for this video is insane

1995. Goldeneye was out on the N64. Parents were on a cruise, friend was over and we were crushing Goldeneye. Midnight hit, got hungry, went to the corner store (White Hen Pantry!) and got a whole muffalata sandwich with peppers and everything. Friend and I crushed the next few levels of Goldeneye and mission saved.

Muffalata is an amazing thing, do not waste its powers!

Andy, I love your content. As a Capetonian, that version of what you called a Gatsby made my ancestors cry. The polony Gatsby comes from a suburb in Cape Town called Athlone. It is basically a loaf of French-style bread big enough to share among four people. The size of the roll you used, would equate to the size of a quarter of the actual Gatsby. The hot or "slap" chips are loaded onto the bread, followed by the main choice of protein, usually lower-tier polony, or chicken, masala steak, or calamari, followed by a choice of sauces and/or fried eggs in the case of a full house. Sparsely topped with sliced tomatoes, cucumber, iceberg lettuce, and, only in the case of the polony Gatsby, mango atchaar. For many years this was the go-to after-partying food that was eaten off the hood of the car with friends where a substantial meal was required to soak up the alcohol before going home to avoid the inevitable hangover. This carb and protein masterpiece has stood the test of time for us Capetonians and we are very judgemental about what makes it a real Gebba. So much so that there's even a Facebook group where people get roasted in the comments for their version of the Gatsby. It's all in good fun, though, but some of the comments are WILD! I really hope you come out to Cape Town and experience the Gatsby the way it was meant to be enjoyed. It really is an institution.
