Lanterns Episode 3 just revealed the truth about John Stewart's mysterious bird — and it changes everything we thought we knew about his powers.

The bird was alive, the. Guardian told John to make the watch with all it working parts, so the bird had every organ to keep it alive

The bird is something so powerful, the exposure of the lie can not change it. It might take the Guardians admitting they weren’t… and still it might not go away

Shiii im usually a batman fanboy and honestly never cared about the lanterns, i learned from their lore from JL the animated series and from DCUO the game...but this show got me hooked on. Also the dude that plays John? Perfect casting. He look 100% to most depictions of the animated one.

Meanwhile, in episode 4, when told that Hal's mother died of cancer, his construct fluctuated and Hal had to tell him to concentrate, and noted that he should be able to hold focus on a construct while answering personal questions. The two actions - the accidental manifestation of the bird, and the intentional operation of the ring - are different for John.

In the comics beings of extreme will or understanding of the green power can sometimes manipulate it directly without a ring if the circumstances are right. It might just be that John's will and focus are strong and that combined with his deep understanding of internal mechanics makes his constructs more stable. Hal and Kyle have done similarly crazy feats under their own extenuating circumstances. In fact it seems like humans tend towards more incredible feats than aliens with the Lantern powers.

IMO i think the Manhunters are masquerading as Guardians. This is why the face of the Guardian when it transforms was not revealed.

One of the things Hal says in Episode 1 was, "Don't get hung up on the jewelry, Junior." that could pay off if he can access the Lantern's power (or the power of Will and Courage) directly without a ring. The Batman sequel The Dark Knight Strikes Again shows Hal living in another reality in an alien body returning to save the Earth from satellite missiles. It says, once he needed a ring and a lantern. Now he is the power.

On the other hand a reviewer who has seen all but the last episode said, everything means something and may pay off later. So, I take that to mean Harry Potter, boy wizard, will which has the line "the wand chooses the wizard," will later be "the ring chooses the superhero." It looks like the Guardians chose John, but the ring didn't and instead chose Guy Gardner?

The big twist may be that Bernadette Stewart’s mysterious visitor is actually a Manhunter.

The clues are everywhere. She transforms from a human-looking woman into a tall, blue-skinned, white-haired figure, yet the camera never shows her face. That matters because the show already established that Manhunters are synthetic beings capable of shapeshifting and infiltrating civilizations undetected.

Her behavior is even more suspicious. She talks about John’s childhood as “programming,” describes his genetics almost like an experiment, and returns 30 years later to see whether her creation worked.

Most importantly, the small blue Guardians we expect never appear. Instead, we see something much larger and mechanical-looking.

I FEEL THAT JON CAN RECREATE THE GREEN LANTERN RING JUST BY HOLDING THAT BIRD AND TRANSFORMING IT TO THE RING
ITSELF AND I FEEL THAT THAT RING HE JUST MADE IS JUST AS GOOD AS HALS RING. HE CAN POWER UP ON IT .
