This is a great budgeting app. There are other options, but Rocket Money has lots of excellent features that those other ones don’t. You can try it for yourself. Budgeting is an OP activity. That’s my opinion. But I’m a real nerd who likes to use my brain so take that with a grain of salt.

I actually really like how this video turned out. I was iffy on it earlier but I think we covered a lot of great ideas and saw a lot of great boring places. What other games have great boring places that would be fun to talk about?

My daughter was 4 when the game came out and was scared of a lot of the areas with wild enemies. She ended up being obsessed with Zora's Domain. Every night, we had to start and end our game with Zora's Domain. She just wanted to watch me walk around, climb the stairs, fall into the water, ascend back up. There's one area at the very bottom with a few shiny crabs. I'm pretty sure no other player has as many Hero's Path hours clocked in Zora's Domain as me. For months our bedtime routine was just wandering around Zora's Domain in a liminal fever dream.

"just trying to give you something to watch while you eat" thank you me and my breakfast were lost before this popped up

I don't know why, but the mini-lecture about "managed expectations" at 9:54 being set to footage of Link very intently sniping an enemy while falling to his death was extra funny to me.

Had to do a double take to check at 04:08 and saw you added reflections of the white circles in the water. That is an amazing level of detail to add that I assume most would not notice.

i love the b-roll in this video. most youtubers would use some standard atmospheric footage, maybe some gameplay shots of fighting a bokoblin or a mini boss, but any austin uses a clip of him poorly shooting a moblin while in (diving not paragliding) bullet time and then smashing straight into the ground and rolling down the hill with the game over screen. pure cinema.

That Battlefront 1 noise when you bring up the map awoke a core memory for me

Zora's Domain feels like what you would get when you ask a bunch of fish people to build a fancy royal palace just so visiting diplomats can feel important.

They built a thing they have no need for.

Has "most boring" in the title - is the most interresting video i'm gonna see all week.

4:28 The fact that there is actually something to do on this pillar tells me it's not as boring as it should be to land on this list. Entirely unacceptably too much to do.

finding out austin hasn’t played shadow of the colossus has rattled me to my core. you could create a 43 hour long video about the most boring, but beautiful corners of that world!!

My vote is the highest point in totk, a sky island above Lookout Landing. It's one of those star shaped islands that's supposed to hold a lore tablet, but the tablet has fallen into the pond in lookout landing, so there is truly nothing to do on the island and it is miles away from anything interesting in all directions. The most interesting thing about it is that it is the highest point in the game.

I was holding my baby niece as I watched this video, and she was a little fussy, but now she’s fallen asleep in my arms.

Either that means Austin has a soothing voice, or these are indeed so boring that a baby fell asleep just looking at them.

0:18 i am being completely honest, I also have loved this spot since I found it. Great place to do amibos

A minor point: I've always thought the stairs in Zora's Domain were so gently sloped to give the feeling of a gently flowing river. The constant rainfall means the stairs are constantly being rained on, so a greater angle on the stairs could make them slippery and difficult to climb.

13:46  Zora's domain is more of a liminal place,  definitely not boring. Just, the sense of absurd scale for something totaly useless is kinda fun.

5:00 for a moment I thought that you were going to segue into a VPN ad. It was so well telegraphed that I blanked on the fact that you had already shilled for Rocket Money.

6:22 I was not expecting to feel a deep guttural fear in this video but something about seeing Link's feet just hanging while he just holds on really got to me. It's poetic, he could stay there forever, his stamina unchanging, or he could attempt to climb. We know that if he tries to climb, he will make it, but Link doesn't know that. To Link, he has the choice to risk falling, and maybe make it to the top of a pointless rock, or simply stay hanging forever. He's hanging off the side of this floating boulder in the sky with just his grip strength, and his paraglider to possibly save him if he falls. Its a weirdly powerful moment.

I don't think I've ever been so dizzy in my life. You started saying "What would be one of my favorite games of all time... .... if i played it" and I thought "Haha thats like me and shadow of the cOWHAT-"

Befudled. Great game. Favorite of all time. Havent played it in 11 years.
