Why do these women feel the need to act like their daughters are so high maintenance just because their girls, it’s like when I was a really young kid and I was called ‘spoiled’ for wanting toys yet my brother was bought whatever he wanted, we are inserting these misogynistic stereotypes into girls at such a young age

As a teacher I can tell you with 100% certainty that the girls are just as rough and tumble as the boys and there are plenty of gentle and soft spoken boys. It's almost as if... they're individuals with unique personalities. It's so exhausting how we pigeon-hole kids.

Boys are easier to raise because they don’t raise them. Any time they do something wrong you just hear “boys will be boys” and it’s ignored. That’s not parenting, it’s just lazy.

As a mother of two young daughters, to all that "girls are easy, boys are rough and gross, etc". No. Absolutely not. I don't force gender norms on my kids, so they are dirty and wild and play rough, but also sweet and loving, because they're children, not little princesses. That said, I hold them accountable when they are violent, destructive, or push boundaries, just as you should also do with a boy. These people. 🤦

I worked at a school for boys for five years, with many students who were neurodivergent and/or had learning disabilities. Boys don't "behave differently" than girls. Adults accept poorer behavior from boys.
edit: also STOP SEXUALIZING YOUR CHILD! Your baby is staring at you because he is a baby and they love looking at human faces, especially their parents NOT because your baby is attracted to you!! That is abusive!! sorry this video got me heated. especially after remembering how a teacher sexualized me as a kid and it really harmed me

Imagine a dad posted a video of his daughter kissing him with an inappropriate song playing. Imagine a dad posted, "im a girl dad, and I cry every day thinking about how my daughter will break up with me when she turns 14." IT'S JUST AS DISGUSTING WHEN WOMEN DO THIS! the double standard with this in our society is wild!

I am constantly bumping up against such strong confirmation bias with my peers who have kids. Everyone severely underestimates how much social conditioning permeates our lives and shapes our kids. They'll talk about how different their boy and girl kids are, generalising them by their gender, completely forgetting about other things they've said about their kids of opposite genders in different contexts, or ignoring similar behaviours I've seen in their opposite gendered kids. I also worked with kids for a decade and have seen this play out. It's honestly depressing and horrifying. I'm in my mid 30's, I really had hope my age group would have shifted more than this by now.

As a son to a single mom with only boys I am so glad that I’ve never experienced anything in this video. Granted my mom is a womanist and takes no nonsense from men so I guess that helps 🤭

The women talking about how they were "rewarded" with sons for their struggles growing up as the daughter is just...sad. Hope they don't have any daughters to pass that on to.
