crunchy moms are the prime example of "everything's a conspiracy when you don't understand how anything works"

the "i don't use ingredients i can't pronounce" is a fascinating argument because, well, these people are barely literate. you could pronounce the ingredients if you tried

i HATE the "if i can't pronounce it" argument. Most people can't pronounce a majority of common, nonharmful, essential chemicals and that type of mindset is just dumb.

Can't wait until the free birth movement starts suggesting you wait a year before naming your baby. Just in case you get too attached

Reusable toilet paper? Why not just use a bidet at that point? Literally just water and you're not using the same poopy roll.

Fun fact, there's a word called "Magniloquent" (alternatively "grandiloquent" works), that essentially means "using fancy words but saying nothing"

Calling an ultrasound "fetal surveillance" IS FULLY CRAZY like mental break crazy.

It's wild that we've reached such heights in quality of life that people can start rejecting the very advancements that brought them their high standard of living.

$800  for a “death debrief” with the woman whose advice lead to your child’s death?? Only for her to tell you that death is not “bad”?! That is evil

Only a true genius can be scared of the radiation exposure of an xray while simultaneously not wearing sunscreen and blasting their baby with uv rays.

If my mother hadn't gotten an emergency c-section, I littelary wouldn't be here right now, this anti hospital birth stuff is so dangerous and is one of the reasons infant mortality rates are going up

Oh, she doesn't eat nightshades? Guess tomatoes and potatoes are off the table.

"i dont use any ingredients i cannot pronounce." ma'am youd prolly stop drinking water if someone referred to it as "Di-hydrogen monoxide"

The never wearing sunscreen thing made my jaw DROP. Sunscreen is essential here in Australia, you’d genuinely just be putting your kid at such a high risk of cancer and for WHAT??

Ive noticed a lot of crunchy moms seem to do it out of moral superiority and fear than actually caring about their kids

My mom lost 3 babies. One to cerebral palsy, the second a miscarriage, and the third born too premature. It broke our family and to this day they're a part of a bereaved parents group. It's utterly ghoulish to tell a grieving mother "dEatH isn'T tHaT bAd!!!" She doesn't know the struggle of fighting every day to keep your baby alive only to lose them anyways. She should be damn grateful she's had it as good as she seemingly has.

As far as I'm concerned, that woman has blood on her hands.

Watch their children grow up and develop really horrible food relationships that they have to deal with their entire life possibly.

As someone who is about to lose her sister in law to cancer and is just helplessly watching her wither away: cancer is real. PLEASE put on your sunscreen.

As a (no-contact) daughter of a crunchy mom, I can promise you that NOT all of them do everything to better their children's lives...
