I tried the vocals. Now i sound like a dying cat

Ejae has been basically hidden behind a pen for kpop, being told she was too old to debut herself, I'm overjoyed she has some more very well deserved attention due to this film and it's/her songs

KPDH has brought out all the expert vocal coaches, therapists and animators on YT...lol

Ejae is just wildly good. Amazing range, incredible vocal mechanics, and she wields both like an Olympian. Mix those skills with her abilities as a songwriter and you've got an incredible artist

Ejae was the predominant singer in this song. A known songwriter and producer for kpop girl groups. She never got the chance to debut as a star on her own because of 'being too old' for the kpop machine standards. However she's now making a name for herself with projects like this. Also according from an interview/live from her, she recorded this song while on vacation in japan in an airbnb (no recording studio) and her hitting those notes surprised the neighbors.

Korea told Ejae she was too old to debut.  She's showing them now

What I love about this song, besides how amazing it sounds, is that the vocalist is finally getting their own ‘golden’ moment. They were sidelined in the industry for 10 years, moved onto writing (they wrote this song too btw), and unexpectedly got cast by the director off the demo track.

When I saw that the song was going quite viral, I started waiting for Chris's reaction haha.

I think EJAE would appreciate your analysis.  She has a great backstory as a singer who "never made it"...

Once you get into this kpop demon hunters wave, you can't just get out of it that easily. Now you have to go through all the songs from this movie, cause they are all masterpieces, incredible voices, amazing melodies and insane productions!!

I tried the vocals, my 3 cats got angry at me and fight me... 😅

When he explained how she is drawing in her voice in the beginning, I couldn't help but associate this with Rumi's mental state at the time. Nice layer of storytelling through music.

Loved this reaction!!! Please react to other songs from the movie, like "Takedown", "Free", "How It's Done" and more! There isn't a bad song in this film.

OMG that "like im born to be" explanation from chris was GOD TIER (also went Higher!)

I love when actual experts react to something like this. The production quality on these songs is through the roof. Lyrics. Instrumentation. Production work putting it all together. The story telling. Haven't seen it on a level like this since Riot Games created KDA. Deeply layered drums and synths playing against and with vocals, changing rhythms and harmonies frequently, flowing through the story. Truly something to nerd out over.

1. I'm 45 as and a veteran and I rock.out to this song everyday. It also gets me teary eyed every time.

2. You're energy is addictive bro. Love it

7:18 I think that was more impressive than the song. I was genuinely shocked

9:10 your breakdown of how a vocalist can go about this is the best I've seen!

1:14 ARE YOU SUCKING OUT MY SOUL HAHAHA
