I find it funny that the family the Kevin and the gang met trying to get to Orlando have just regular guns. Not any fun, wacky ray guns and freeze rays, just straight up regular guns

The fact this film came out nearly 10 years ago hurts me

”Cuz how else did they get that much denim?” Did you not see Giant Kevin? His pants remained big so obviously they used that

Fun bit of minion lore
The minions are immortal and can’t die. It’s been proven in a lot of the movies on how these yellow guys can’t die through stuff like fire and guns. It’s even worse with the purple minions, who literally can’t die from anything.

Scarlett overkill is easily the best part of the movie. I genuinely find her really funny

love the implication that in the short while before Gru showed up they were all just completely okay with serving the queen of England, makes you think

It’s stated in myth that whoever is able to wield the sword in the stone is the rightful king to England. So Bob pulling it out means he is worthy enough to rule England (what a nightmare), same way wielding thors hammer allows any human to become Thor

I’d just like to mention, Professor Flux has a poster behind him at Villain Con that says he’s been “Ahead of the time since 1945”, and he has a German accent….. Well, he definitely got ahead from those war crime trials, that’s for sure.

15:41 "You think it's funny to mock the elderly do ya?"
"Uh, si." BONK

i think the gold paint wore off the goggles between the NYC era and the napoleon era

This movie "Gru" on us over the years

Bulbasquirtle isn't pregnant but he always delivers

lowkey seeing someone that aint a cynical  person watching movies is pretty good ngl

THE FLAMES OF DISASTER

Best lines in cinema

1. Oh, were you? Mwahahaha
2. And I am iron man
3. It's mobin time

With their goggles turning silver, they actually slowly turn from gold to silver over the ocean trip, implying it's the salt in the water, they fully turn silver after they go in the water, you can see that, since the other minions didn't go in the water, their goggles are still just after the scarlett fight.

I used to have a minions sticker album back when the movie came out and it had the pirate screenshot as one of the stickers alongside the other "old evil boss era" screenshots like Adam Sandler and beta Grug

you’ve never had it unless you’ve had it like kevin

7:06 pretty sure gold coating wears off in water so thats why the minions have silver goggles
