"You know what would save this Rock movie? Add Ryan Reynolds to it"

Execs every single year for some reason

I love that San Andreas ends on a shot that looks like sequel bait. Like they're going to go fight the earthquake on it's home planet or something.

I once heard someone call The Rock "the worlds most expensive B-list celebrity" and I just can't disagree

In defense of Rampage, if I've learned anything over the past decades, it's that billion dollar corporations absolutely do create unprofitable society destroying technology for absolutely no reason

“There’s a crocodile the size of a football stadium, we’re not making private Ryan” surprisingly self aware quote actually

Wow, that was perfect timing with the Moana live-action trailer lol

Florida is actually the only place in the world to have both Alligators and Crocodiles living in the same place. The American Crocodile is native to the most southern parts of Florida

If you wanna have a fun weekend, what you do is what I call the "Dwayne Cinematic Universe", you watch all of these movies, including Jumanji, Jungle Cruise, Baywatch, Central Intelligence, etc. (Basically all Rock movies that aren't part of a franchise, like Furious or Black Adam) and you pretend that the Dwayne is always the same character. Believe me, it's very easy, the guy has an acting range that has to be measured with an electron microscope. If you do that, these movies are entertaining as hell. Obviously this experience gets vastly enhanced by alcohol and/or weed.

Rock movies are what they play in dentist waiting rooms but on a military base

The craziest fact you completely overlooked with this video? Journey 2, San Andreas, AND Rampage are all directed by the same guy, Brad Peyton.

There are actually native American crocodiles in Florida. That means that for Rampage, they killed an endangered animal as the climax

i think the fact that the rock showed up in satire of a fake bambi movie where he plays as bambi in a really goofy costume and the fake movie premise was "this time bambi gets revenge on his moms killer" i think perfectly summarizes the entire rocks career in some ways

I want a version of San Andreas where the rock is just bench pressing the tectonic plates for the climax.

“I bet you don’t remember him in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island “ Yeah that’d be stupid… what kinda kid would be obsessed with that movie🫥

15:40 To be fair, you can bring someone back from drowning, even if they haven't been breathing for 10ish minutes, as long as you don't stop CPR. So, technically you're right because the rock just stops compressions to stare at her. THAT would have killed her.

I'm glad you focused on the divorced dad tropes in San Andreas because when me and my wife watched it we spent the entire run time making different predictions of how Rock would get his ex wife back and the lines she would say like "I left because you were never there" type shit. I don't remember a single thing about this film but I had a great time watching it and improv fanfic'ing it in real time.

"Curious George is now Furious.. George. I am so sorry."
The audible regret here is infinitely funnier than the wordplay itself.

26:07 what I never understood about the island was the fact that it’s supposed to sink and resurface. But when it sinks it completely DESTROYS everything in the most violent way possible. So did the people in the past just continue to come back and rebuild every time it resurfaced?

"Until he fights Freddy Fazbear 20 years later" is one of the sentences
