Removing the chain of command in an American Infantry unit is taking off our leash. It's actually the worst idea you can have.

Chris Kyle intended to join the Marines. He was convinced by a Navy Recruiter to join the Navy and attempt to become a SEAL. Because of the injuries he had suffered in rodeo he initially did not get a slot in BUD/S. He was later offered a slot.

It's not just that Congress is businessmen, it's that most of them are Lawyers.

It amazes me there’s not a Sabaton song about this guy

Chris Kyle was never Army. He was a Seal his entire career

59:00 literally the mentality of "had to be me, someone else might have gotten it wrong". Iykyk.

Carlos held the record for the longest kill shot ever for almost 40 years.

Shit…he’s a US Marine, the only nicknames that stick are the ones that our enemies give us. Cause they true and epic. And no absurd, no one would believe it, unless it our was our enemies that gave it to us, and told of our exploits.

The most real thing about the Chris Kyle movie was when he linked up with those soldiers and ASKED to roll with them.  Nobody would say no to that, but a SEAL will ALWAYS ask first.

Chris Kyle was never in the Army, he went directly from civilian life to the Navy to try and get into the SEALS. Someone in chat did mention it, but it looks like it go lost in the shuffle.

As a Marine, I’ll let you know that at 32:37 there is no equivalent…. We are one of a kind….. we hated, adored, but never ignored.

Three year old Carlos Hathcock, was freaking adorable. Most kids are adorable at three years old.

Amazing she could even follow the story with 10 minutes of yapping for every 60 seconds of listening.

5:57 a 3yo running around with a Kar 98 is a hilarious mental image

I keep telling people do not mess with The Boomer generation and Gen X

Because they were always outside playing and hunting

I was outside during my childhood in the 90s on the Navajo Reservation

I got my first rifle when i was 7 years old i was hunting rabbits and prairie dogs.

38:23 from Scout Sniper to Tactical Janitor lol

Did not know this was just posted. Saw the time at thirty six minutes when I looked at it, after clicking.

10:19 Basic has changed. When I was in basic training, we couldn't wave a card when we got stressed. We had to take whatever the Drill Sgt. dished out.

I have the book about him, Marine Sniper: 93 Confirmed Kills, my dad bought it when he was at the PX in the Marine Corps and then later passed the book down to me. Carlos was hardcore even up to his death.

You need to check out his video about how Robin OldS takes out 1/2 of Vietnam's Mig 21s in 13 minutes
