Soviet soldier: <sneezes>

A Finnish snow drift: "Bless you."

In defense of the people who signed the armistice the USSR was far more powerful than Finland and the Russian Empire owned Finland 30 years before so the fact the entire country wasn't annexed is fantastic. But the Soviets weren't going to leave without some territorial gains to say they won, It's just unlucky Simo's farm was in the lost land.

you know you're dead if you heard...

1. the forest start to speak vietnamese
2. the snow start to speak finnish

Basicly Finnish man too angry to die. Best part is..he was born before the USSR was created and died years after the USSr fell.

It's heartwarming to hear Ember to be so emotional about Finnish history. No jokes. Just happy as Finnish person for this reaction video.

"I'm just a smol potato with a Mosin Nagant! I think I will delete the soviet army now."
-Simo basically.

4:11 the surprise and joy on Ember's face when she dicovers that she is taller than someone  is priceless XD

- What did you feel when you shot those people?
- Recoil.

Oh yes, Larry Allen Thorne, birth name Lauri Alen Tourni, the soldier of three armies, the Finnish soldier that hated the soviets so much that after the Winter War, he fought with the Germans in the Continuation War, earned the IRON CROSS, and then came to America and joined OUR military to fight in Vietnam.  All because they literally took his home.  The man had such a hate boner for the soviets that he fought them in three armies, and is the only SS officer buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

21:51 juutilainen's nickname terror of morocco comes from his time in french foreign legion, where he used to fight in morocco.

Also if Simo can eyeball shots with 100% accuracy, he probably also knows the effective ranges of artillery cannons as well as their exact positions because during inactive times, he would scout the enemy's camps even on days where he didnt do his night raids. He likely knew the deadzones of their artillery setups as  and probably had his ice embankments specifically set up in the artillery's deadzones. Also, because the artillery cannons are so big and heavy, they'd take ages to move and if the bombardments stopped for a significant period of time, he'd likely know they were readjusting and would take that time to build another embankment in the new deadzone as there logically isnt many places they could move them, and being a genius marksman with absolute knowledge of the land, it was easy to constantly be in the artillery's deadzone.

"You're in the sniper's sight."
"The first kill tonight."
"Time to die."

"You're in the bullet's way."
"The White Death's prey."
"Say goodbye."

"White Death" - Sabaton

I love that song and this story.

"Simo Häyhä is Humanity's representative in the eleventh round of Ragnarok, going against Loki.
Nicknamed "The White Death" (白い死神, Shiroi Shinigami), Häyhä is considered the deadliest sniper in human history, having killed about 500 men during the Winter War that lasted less than 100 days"

12:50 the Fins did a lot to refurbish their Mosins. the quality was higher than the Soviets.

the most pride i hold in me is that my great grandpa had eaten next to Simo Häyhä in winter war and they both survived the winter war ❤ god rest both of their souls Simo is the reason why Finland is independent

I know this is late, but I had the same reaction about the arftermath... So thank you for that

Nothing but pride for my fellow nordics and finnish brothers and sisters.

With you finns in our old swedish empire, we were nigh unstoppable.
I hope one day all nordics will unite under one grand nordic imperium once more.

Oden keep your leaders wise, Tyr keep your steel sharp and Frej keep your harvests bountiful.

For the Finnish people simo is forever their hero i have seen some old vets and many old people talking about simo to their young grand child and even if an immigrant talks to them they gets really happy by seeing their people and country is getting recognize cause of their hero's honor work

fun fact this man is going to be forever immortalized in a battle manga known as record of Ragnarok, as he is currently going to be fighting in the next match against the God of mischief Loki and his design is so good he will once again show his finish pride

Simo: Remember, No Russian.
