I think Hal was given Jon's ring and battery and told not to give it to him until he thought he was ready by the guardians probably that kind of feeling

John Stewart could be the first of the three lanterns on earth that makes his suit out of construct (in the DCU lore). He would think its the most efficient thing to do.. which fits his character as well and explains why his suit has been kept a secret. MoT potential set pics could show that as well

This channel is gonna age so well with DCU cos it's gonna be big

I'm glad Hal doesn't seem to have a secret identity, I think we've seen what a bad idea it is for cops to wear masks.

I’ve been waiting on this video to drop. So many reveals in this new teaser and we haven’t even had a full length trailer yet, I’m hyped

One thing I'm digging from the trailers is the great chemistry between the Hal and John has.But great breakdown video,Boba.

In the comics, Abin Sur's ring chose Hal, Guy and John. John was closer but he was a child, Guy was in a coma and Hal was selected by the ring

FIRST 8 seconds😊 I love the DCU

Ganthet took on a human form in Hard Traveling Heroes, so I suppose it could be a possibility that Laura Linney is playing Sayd or another Guardian

Imagine if Hal is in John's child hood home and finds a vhs tape in Johns room of Hal doing that green lantern interview. It looks like Hal really embraced the celebrity of Green Lantern. Like "I inspired this kid."

I think you are spot on Boba about the Ice planet being ancient earth. I haven't seen anyone else mention that, but it makes so much sense. The object falling to earth(maybe Parallax?) lands in what eventually becomes Nebraska. I'm not through this video, so maybe you cover this, but maybe the family of Garrett Dillahunt's character has owned that land for a long time, and they stumbled upon whatever crash landed there. The other aliens, possibly other lanterns, have picked up on the unsual energy signature, and that's why they are all in this random small Nebraskan town. My "Anton" hasn't gotten his red lantern ring yet. Maybe that's why they're using guns(no ring, and trying to keep low profile).

On a side note, the entire DCU cast is amazing. They have nailed every casting so far. I cannot wait to see who Batman and Wonder Woman are going to be.

Best breakdown I’ve seen so far!

i think my theory would be, they are investigating the death of Alan Scott, the first green lantern..

Considering what the writers said about the theme of the showing revolving around "when it's time to step aside" and succession, combined with Hal's line about John only getting the ring over his dead body, makes me think Hal can't just die and then John gets the ring, Hal either will survive, but through whatever arc he goes through in the show, goes from clinging to the ring, to volunteering it to John, or if Hal does die, it'll be a self sacrifice type thing. Either way I think Hal has to choose to step aside so John can take on the responsibility of the ring.
