I’m so hyped after that trailer. There’s so much more beneath the surface. I feel like this show will get crazy

@michaelroque2662 6 months ago

“There is an ancient Horror” put that on a t shirt

Lets goo
The fact that hbo is joking about the green jokes assures me there is a lot not being shown. Every time they were about to use the ring, the clip cuts and all of this is from ep 1 to 3. Check the Peacemaker teaser, you'll see the same thing. A lot of ring usage in ep 1 and 2. The car, the interrogations and the town wrecking battle. Hell the car chase scene might have john create a gun construct

I think its going to come down to the clashing of perspectives.

John is very calm, calculated, intelligent, and efficient. He makes a plan, a back-up plan, and a back-up for the back-up.

While getting trained by Hal, he starts getting frustrated by Hal's cocky improvisation and starts questioning his ability to do the job.

It isn't until he sees how quickly shit hits the fan, that he starts to understand why Hal acts the way he does and just how why he is so legendary.

Hal marches to the beat of his own drum. He doesn't trust authority, but he trusts people.

One of the coolest stuff about lanterns is how the constructs design are unique to who wears the ring, hope they represent this well

@Bran_Elingam8369 6 months ago

🤔🤔🤔 Remember that Guy Gardner appears in this show, so that doubt about what Hal said "that he was the only human" will be resolved when they interact with each other, and I'm also hyped to know that Sinestro will be there.

Ch'p bout to be the saddest Lantern out there, his backstory finna be very heartbreaking

Am I the only one who doesnt think this teaser was bad at all?😂😂 It got me hyped. I love the idea of a more serious take on the green lanterns and them being detectives. Theyre not investigating a small town murder. Theyre investigating a murder in a small town that involves an ancient terrifying COSMIC horror.
Just because its serious in tone doesnt mean it won't be profound in scale.
Sorry but this teaser just made me more hyped to see it.
They have until August to add in some more green and give them the green outlines. For when they fly which from what I've seen doesnt look bad at all.

I think this show is going to be one of the greatest DC shows and I think HBO and everyone behind this knows that

@TheJackHammer91939 6 months ago

I’m noticing a lot of parallels between the show and the start of the lanterns comic run (the one with Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz). You should look into that more

@jumzeey 6 months ago

This makes me more excited for the show

@ZYaKnoe249 6 months ago

I’m ngl, the teaser made me more excited than I actually was prior. Ready for August.

@Film_Quest 6 months ago

I really liked the teaser. For the first time in the DCU genuinely excited about a project

@Chicken_Park 6 months ago

When Jon said "other Lanterns" he might have just meant other than the ones we both know, like the two of us and Guy Gardner and whoever else has a ring on Earth

@GKBeetle 6 months ago

Everybody in this town loved the Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern movie. That is the real secret being kept.

@ConnorLite 6 months ago

I actually noticed that Hal and John do have their own ruings. Hal and John's rings look kinda similar but they do have clear differences. Just look it up. There's two rings not just one.

@taylormadealpha 6 months ago (edited)

When he's brimming with Will power and the oath is said, I guarantee that suit will look much different. James Gunn isn't giving us everything in this trailer and I appreciate that. Why would we get their constructs and the exact suit with all the CGI already? It's probably not ready so why force the reveal so people can complain about that?

@Kyle_Leinen 6 months ago

People have become so conditioned and accustomed to the MCU that they expect the same tone and feel for every project. When the DCU provides a True Detective-style series and a horror film, people are unable to adapt. I can already predict people will not like the Clayface teaser.
