LANTERNS Episode 1 Breakdown, Review & Ending Explained! - I review and breakdown Lanterns Episode 2 on HBO and MAX. In in this Lanterns Episode 2 breakdown and ending explained, we dive into the teases surrounding the Sinestro Ending scene which teases Hal Jordan and Sinestro's history, the shocking reveals from Antaan about the Manhunters, and the theory that Antaan could be Atrocitus. We also break down how the Manhunter mystery could connect to the larger history of the Green Lantern Corps, Abin Sur, and the Guardians of the universe. Plus we compare the Manhunter origin to the Green Lantern comic books, and we discuss what Lanterns 1x02 could be setting up for Hal Jordan's death, and where things go next in Lanterns episode 3 with what William Macon is hiding. Plus, we cover even more major theories involving Sinestro, Atrocitus Red Lanterns, the Guardians of the Universe, John Stewart's ability and what Lanterns could be setting up for the wider DCU. The new DCU series introduces Hal Jordan and John Stewart as they investigate a dark mystery in Rushville that could have major implications for the future of the DC Universe. This episode has convinced me even more that the sheriff is actually a genius, because she had the common sense to move out of Gotham lmao.

Mogo doesn't socialize! Also, a quick glimpse of Hal in the domino mask for EP3! Lanterns hype! Ok, I am watching the video now.

Its like the whole town is full of man hunter based on no one is in the hospital record.

They're throwing new information in every episode, but we still don't know anything.
And I think that's the magic of the show.

The bird remaining after John gave back the ring was really something. But even after the ring ran out of power? That was what really got me.

We like your yapping breakdowns, you do a good job!

The audible ‘here we go’ I screamed when Hal suited up and flew into the sky was only out beaten when I realised he flew up to see Sinestro. Cannot wait for episode three now!

I think John being able to hold the bird construct for that long under all that stress, is setting him up to be able to have the concentration to have his suit be a construct

Making Sinestro the Hannibal Lector of this mystery is such a great idea

I don’t care what anyone says anymore. Bring Mr. Terrific and The People vs. Gorilla here.

This episode was a DC lore goldmine.

My thoughts….abin sur did bring atrocitous (Antaan) to earth he just escaped. It was sinestro who discovered the manhunter and stashed him on earth as leverage against the guardians. This would explain his coup. He discovered info about the manhunters, stashed one, approached the guardians, and it ended in him killing one and sinestro was accused of starting a coup but in reality he found out what the guardians had done and were trying to cover up.
This would explain why Hal doesn’t know everything about the manhunters but had heard something about it and knew sinestro was the person to ask about it. Sinestro probably tried to tell Hal about it but after the guardian killing didn’t want to hear it after the death of a guardian.
I think they have green, yellow, red and violet (Zoe) lanterns in play already by episode 2. Which is just crazy.
It would also explain why the guardians want to replace Hal with John to cover up all of it because of his closeness with sinestro.

My theory is the Manhunter is Zoe Macon. After crashing on earth the Manhunter needed to blend in, hide and be protected from any aliens coming after it. Somehow she provides the tech to William Macon to stop other aliens finding her while also gathering power to start the mass genocide. Also makes sense why she's always showing up to find out more info on the two lanterns and sleeps with John to 1.get close to find out info and 2. shake them off there trail. It also makes sense why William Macon doesn't really care because its part of the plan. Let me know what you guys think:)

I have a feeling that Zoe is the hidden manhunter

The suit looked much better than i thought it would when Hal had it on.

What I was waiting for

@misterelom 1 month ago

My guess is that when John becomes GL, that's when we'll start seeing the suit materializing from the ring. Anyway, this show is fantastic so far. They weren't kidding when they said it would have the True Detective feel but with aliens. I'm a comic reader, but my cousin, who doesn't read comics but watches superhero shows & movies, loves this show and we've been talking about it every week so far. They're doing a great job appealing to source material fans and casuals.

The way they’re rolling out lore to the “normies” is pretty perfect. They definitely did some improvement of the suit

Another little note about the Mogo reference for you Boba. The term "Mogo Doesn't Socialize" was also the name of the short story in Green Lantern #188 that first introduced the character!!
