Episode 1: There are 5 rules.

Episode 37: There are 68 rules.

atp just go be a lawyer light

I love Ryuk just talking about the show eventually.

"You are simultaneously the best and worst person who could have picked up my death note" truer words have never been spoken

Love how Ryuk just gives up and starts talking about different things

"Is it physically possible for a child to beat up an adult?"
"Not a fan of anime, I see" 😂

All you have to do Light is take a potato chip and eat it!

Light actually survives this because Misa would've killed herself if Light died therefore killing Light would lead to more deaths than intended.

I like how they ended up having two different conversation by the middle.

8:22 i need a part 2, with Rem and Misa when they talk about those rules. would be pretty cool.

The biggest mistake of them all was somehow even trying to find the death note and find the realism in it

I was expecting Ryuk to mess up Light’s name 4 times and having to listen to him rambling for ever

2:05 One of the rules specifies that the Death Note never runs out of pages

2:29 "Who gets punished?" "Probably the shinigami that has to listen to your neurodivergent ramblings" My neurodivergent self is laughing my butt off because those are EXACTLY the kind of questions I would be asking

Lemme just write down "Theundeadhumour" on this black note I found on the ground yesterday

3:01 the person will get in their car with a dog and get maliciously mauled while driving

1:00 I realized that since this is a Japanese manga, the author probably never even considered a father and son having the same name. In Japan, it's unthinkable to just name your kid after yourself and add 'Jr.'.

Pretty sure the "write your own name 4 times, you die," is to stop people from making themselves immune.

We didn't even talk about rule 34

Too be fair Ryuk only wrote "Some" of the rules on the back, the rest of those rules were presumably made by the Shinigami king. I imagine there's a story behind each rule of why he had to make it so, like two people with death notes tried to kill the same guy in two different ways and they cancelled each other out
