Listen this has to be the messiest movie I ever seen since Unfriended and the cast was casting representing the Gen Z/Zellinnials and I agree that the writing for Gen Z should be explored more etc. What u identity as Gen Z or Zellinnial just wondering..

This movie is really that  "all these girls know how to do is be bisexual, eat hot chip, and lie"  meme embodied.

“are yall ready for some mess?” is the perfect way to open up this video. i would crumbbbblllleeeee if i had a friend group like the one in this movie

5:35 black queers throwing on Kehlani music had me HOWLING. 😭 Automatic sub from me

Things like hurricane parties aren't a new phenomenon unfortunately, Edgar Allan Poe's The Masque of the Red Death is about rich people throwing a party while everyone else is dying of the disease outside of the party. There's also the Decameron which was written by a rich Italian man ducking the Black Plague but unlike Poe's work is a celebration of this sort of retreat and party and is a pretty influential piece of literature in of itself. It's an interesting contrast not only the hundreds of years inbetween, but Poe spent time broke, had to enlist in the Army to have a steady income, and when he became a full time writer, well it didn't pay well. He spent enough time on the other side of the fence to understand that the people on the other side were human, and in that connection how can you not see the inhumanity in a party like this when many more are dying outside the chamber doors

"You're silencing me" oh Alice, my problematic fav.

girl i call everyone and everything a freaky frog cause of you 😭😭

"hurricane parties" are a real different thing for rich ppl i guess, for me in college it was like "well we're all going to be stuck inside bc of the flooding, let's get our friends over before the storm hits and bring board games and extra batteries" and there were absolutely 0 casualties

“Now y’all done got two randos caught up in your episode of Euphoria” is actually a perfect synopsis of this film 😂😂😂😂
Oh, my lungs 😭😭😭

As a Florida native, a hurricane party is just a good excuse to gather with family during a natural disaster. Calling it a party can keep the kids from freaking out, but I do agree this type of partying during a hurricane would be off putting.

EVERYONE STFU WE SHAYKIN AND BAKINNNNN. congrats on 10+k, deserved !!!!!!!!!!!

Fun fact. With the exception of Amandla the cast are actually all millennial cuspers (born in '95 and '96). Even Gregg's actor is a cusper, but a gen X one.

as someone from louisiana, hurricane parties are kinda like finding something to be happy about before the destruction comes. its also a way to get the food out of your house that will go bad if you dont have power for multiple days. its usually a potluck type vibe around a day before the storm comes or ppl evacuate because you dont know what is gonna happen, when youre gonna see these people next. its less of a "were untouchable from the storm" because no one is really safe from it. my house has flooded multiple times and the hurricane party is like a reward for the days of preparation and a moment of familarity before the destruction.

As a person who lived through Katrina AND WAS IN THE STORM, a tree took out MY BEDROOM and it rained inside. Bizarre to have an elementary kid saying that, but also, was I wrong???
I digress. Hurricane Parties insult me. I’ve been through multiple hurricanes as a kid with damage to my home each time. It’s some kinda influencer BS, bc this is the first I ever heard the term and I freaked out.

As a Floridian, “Hurricane Parties” are basically when everyone gets together and bunkers down with supplies for safety. It’s meant to be ironic. These rich people are being insensitive by doing all that. Like specifically traveling to a place where a hurricane is coming to have a party is crazy.

Kehlani playing being an indicator of mess is too real lmao

You and Malli are my FAV movie review channels!!  I'm always happy to see the Malliverse and the Shayke Galaxy expand, both in content and in subs!!
You deserve all the glow and support.
<3 We appreciate you!!

Lee Pace not getting top billing really shows you the target demographic of this movie was YOUNG. My man was in Twilight! Not to mention the Glorious eyebrows of the elf King in the Hobbit etc.

26:31 “He’s a Libra moon, that says a lot!” Makes me howl every time
