Who should I feature in episode 4?

@Foul_Ghoul 4 months ago

Even Rick Riordan noticed how fraudulent Jason is. There’s a chapter in the Magnus Chase books called “Hearthstone Passes Out Even More than Jason Grace (Though I have No Idea Who That Is)”

"In other news, the house of popular Youtuber 'TierlistMan39' has been hit with multiple lightning strikes, floods and other natural disasters, more at 11."

All this fraudulence stem from the fact that Rick doesn’t want anyone to overshadow Percy.

7:58 in Thalia's defense, Percy was once afraid of drowning, and Nico used to be afraid of the dark

Not too much on Silena. She was groomed and manipulated by Luke. I mean, she canonically dies at 16 so she would be about 13 when Luke recruited her as a spy. I can't be mad at that.

She also changes because Luke told her that no one would be harmed if she joined them. Then her man dies, the one who she was explicitly told will be safe.

I just woke up from a nap and you saying Jason had “Fetal Alcohol Syndrome” immediately woke me up, cause genuinely what the FUCK!

10:58 what makes this worse is that canonically Anubis should be older than Apollo. I’m fairly certain. In fact he’s closer to Zeus in age than he is the second generation gods like Artemis and Athena

Zeus' showing against Typhon some versions of the myth was even worse. Some versions he gets one - tapped, has all of his sinews torn out, and gets chucked into a cave whilst Typhon stomps around. He only comes back because Pan and Hermes sneak in and give him his sinews back. Hell, the other gods look fradulent too, because they get so scared they take the forms of animals and fly all the way to Egypt (which was an attempt at explaining Greek and Egyptian syncretism, sure, but it just makes them look like bums).

13:39 it's crazy that the monsters are being treated like the beasts in bloodborne but in bloodborne the beasts were people and it made sence why some hunters didn't want to hunt them and they were victums meanwhile the monsters are war criminals and are reshaping camp Jupiter into tatarus

I finished the Kane chronicles like fr why did Anubis kiss Sadie that’s a child fr😭🙏

22:50 I wish could defend Artemis cause I like her but like yeah no there’s no defending this. Also speaking of Hunters of Artemis I just need to say how bs it is that all the hunters are so weak. Like they are all frauds. A lot of them are demigods they are all immortal, they hunt monsters on the daily, they get another amp from being blessed by Artemis… but they aren’t notably better than demigods somehow. They get the cool showing in book 3 and then from there on out it’s just theyre like a slightly above average no name demigod.

In defense of Chiron, Zeus has smited people for less. It would be wise to not give him reason to do it again.

In a world where a teenager outsmarts the entire greek pantheon in his very first mission and is canonically unable to die at the end of his arc, it's hard to not be the plot equivalent of wearing fake designer clothes.

@joshuafrazier3904 4 months ago

35:12 ok I love Percy but let’s not act like Ares was putting like any effort into the fight. In fact the entire reason he lost was because he wasn’t trying like at all.

@HajimeKash-r4z 4 months ago (edited)

PJ books unironically have the most fraudulent characters in fiction. And it's baffling as a long time fan who read the series multiple times how people would unironically claim they can solo even fodder verses like JJK let alone Bleach or Naruto.

@astraangelo7262 4 months ago

Tierlistman39, I believe the only reason Percy was actually afraid of Hecate is because she’s the “potential” goddess of Greek mythology. Also, a very angry mother, considering how many of her children died during the Titan war.

37:51 we’re talking about Gaia and not Nyx? Gaia was nerfed the entire story and still nearly soloed everyone after being awake(even then she wasn’t even fully awake) for like what a minute?

@joshuafrazier3904 4 months ago

11:47 Calypso is better than Anubis for only 1 reason and it’s that her curse takes agency from her so she cannot be entirely blamed(she still holds some blame but it’s kind of hard to fault someone when Fate is forcing their hands) for falling in love with Minors. But also put her in the trash I hate her.
