I can't help but cheer when Leia chokes out Jabba with that chain.

Side notes:
1. The creature that killed that Twi'lek (green woman with tentacles/tails on her head) slave and almost kills Luke inside that pit in Jabba's palace is called a Rancor.

2. The scene at the Sarlacc pit was shot in my home state of Arizona in the middle of the Yuma desert, while the scenes on the forest moon of Endor were shot in the Redwood Forest of California.

Hi Melou!
5:45 - In this film, Jabba is a big puppet with several operators. In Episode 4 he was added in 1997 as one of the CGI "improvements" to the film. Note that Yoda in this and the previous film is a muppet, voiced by Frank Oz, same guy who does Miss Piggy and other characters.
11:48 - Leia's slave outfit caused millions of boys to enter puberty, and inspired many Halloween costumes and cosplays. 🙂

This was the first movie I saw as a kid on VHS lol. and sparking the life long love for the universe.

Jabba the Hutt is a gigantic puppet, operated by like seven people inside that thing lol. That's why it looks so good. Maybe you could check out the documentary called empire of dreams. It's a behind the scenes look at the original trilogy. Love your reactions :-)

Vader did not, as you put it, give up easily. He had the willpower to pick a grown man up over his head, carry him across the room, and throw him down the shaft, all while he was being electrocuted, something cybernetics greatly increase the impact of. He then had the willpower to have a short conversation with his son before finally giving in to his injuries. A death that in the real world would take a few seconds normally took a few minutes for Vader.

Vader is mostly pretty forgiving, not choking someone at the first mistake.
When he choked admiral Ozzel at Hoth it was the end of a long time of incompetence.
In fact, Ozzel barely passed the academy and had been a walking liability all the time, climbing the ranks due to nepotism and wealthy contacts and Vader hated that kind of lack of effort and motivation.
Vader highly appreciated competence and working hard for the ranks.

Vader never says he's forgiving -- he says the Emperor is even less forgiving. It's meant to foreshadow just how evil and cruel the Emperor is.

11:29 Long ago, i heard Carrie Fisher on a late night talk show say that the metal bits on the Slave Leia costume were actually metal, and quite rigid. As such, they didn't exactly move with her body. Also, the size & cut of the outfit meant undergarments were not feasible. So when she was in certain positions, line of sight was completely open. Everybody got a free show...

As per the opening crawl, that's a new Death Star that is under construction, not the original Death Star that was utterly destroyed.

In the Empire Strikes Back Leia connected with Luke through the Force to come back for him at Cloud City

It was a fitting ending. That was it as far as everyone thought. Star Wars was closed.
Puppets & Teddy Bears wasn't the wheelhouse for my 6th grade tastes however.

Younglings today.
Hm.
Impatient they are.

In this remastered version there is cgi added. Jaba wasn’t cgi though.

16:49 What do you mean "good point?" When did Luke show that he was "not ready for the burden", that he couldn't handle the truth which he should have been told years ago?🤔

You aren't wrong about the films. One of the trilogies is indeed prior to this, as shown in the name (Prequel Trilogy) and the numbering (Ep. I-III); the other (Sequel Trilogy: Ep. VII-IX) takes place after this. The two spin-offs take place between the Prequels and the Originals. Well, technically there are three spin-offs, but The Mandalorian & Grogu is still in theatres.
Looking forward to seeing where the journey in the galaxy far, far away takes you.

In the original movie the ghost is the same actor as the one under the helmet, and I'll never forget Lucas for ruining his own ending and replacing it with the prequel actor. Your confusion says everything and you should feel robbed.
