Let me know if you enjoy this kind of music video reaction because I REALLY enjoyed making it!

I love your analysis. You always make me see things from a new perspective that is different to mine. Your RAYE series is my favourite out of all the people who react to her music.

Even the friends trying to get to her, before they find her,  they have their own obstacles they have to go through to reach her.

Fun reaction Viki! One thing I thought about after listening to TMMCH was that the lines.. "I need a pep talk. I need a hug. I need a dance floor" point to this song (Pep talk), the following song (a hug - "I know you're hurting") and a the next (a dance floor - "Lifeboat").

i CANNOT WATCH nor Listen to any of these songs without crying. This VIDEO? Hello??? GODDDD... its so so goood.

Such an amazing music video to such a beautiful song.  I'm glad you reacted to it as a standalone video.  It is packed with metaphorical imagery that I can relate to so much. The holding yourself in precarious ways, of the coping mechanisms, drinking, being furniture (people pleasing).  When I see her pouring water on herself I see the weight of having to do chores and just crying because you feel drowned even just in an everyday task.  The loop of having to redo laundry over and over again because you forgot to get it out of the machine is too real! xD  The sinking into the couch.  Getting trapped in a screen (doom scrolling).  The perspective shifts of leaving the house feeling like an insurmountable task.  And the girls, such valuable friends, marching in, joining her on the floor before picking her up and joining her on the climb out (they have their own struggles to climb out of too, but the mark of a good friend is that you help each other up instead of weighing each other down).  The being uplifted by music, and finally seeing the sun and running in the fields, finally free... even if only for a moment.  I love it so much!

Loving this reaction. A video director also reacted to this with some amazing insights. I had never noticed that when she puts on the sleeves of the red dress at the end and on the hill...it is in the shape of a heart.

8:57 see also, the "cobwebs" are basically her cables, phone chargers etc.!

The images in this video from beginning to end are  just breathtaking.  I love when she steps to the door and it has the Alice in Wonderland perspective shift,  and the multitude of shoes that were already there for her friends to climb with her.   It's like she has tried so many times and left so many shoes..  Her friends are there to make the climb with her OUT because friends/connection is key(hole) to the leap.   Just brilliant!!!!!...Raye and your analysis.

At the end of the video, the shape of her coat reminds me of a heart. I wonder if that was intentional.

Anyway, I always get emotional watching this video. It’s truly full of... Hope ❤️

This is the BEST analysis of this video to date

Thank you for an amazing reaction and review of this beautiful music video! I really love your analysis, you paid attention to things I didn’t notice at first!
I really want more music from Raye and more reactions from you!

I've never been this early

I really enjoyed listening to your reaction and perspective. I've got teary so many times listening to this song. I think the video goes so well - it is so so clever! So much to take in (things I recently noticed: she has her face in a cereal bowl; floor length fake fur coat she is wearing in the house as she climbs up the door).
Lyrically Raye is such a good storyteller. It's like when you read a novel and you have the imagery in your mind, and then they make it into a movie and you see what they envisioned. So cool!
I really like the words at the end about having faith in seeds planted beneath the snow and just to know something is working even though it might not look like it. To hold on and have hope. I'm going through something like that right now which is why its so moving and emotional. It's such a powerful image, thinking of seeds in winter before they bloom in spring 🌷🥹

The scene where she is lying on the floor after rolling off the couch, back arched; when her friends lay down beside her, is them lying with her in empathy and understanding and listening to her. But after they bear witness to her pain, they pick her up, pop her headphones on and help her dress her to be ready  to face the world/get out of the house again. It’s beautiful! ❤ Made me cry.

Thanks for the reaction! Absolutely love the way you see things 💕. You should really check out the Genesis music video from Raye - I think you’d really love it 🥰

This reaction series (to RAYE) is so good love the detail you bring out!!! I feel like if you like albums that tell a story then i think you might enjoy Halsey:the great impersonator ( her latest album). It is one of my favourites because she is somehow very open in every song!!!!!!

The perfect musical storm 🎶

By the way, this is not the first collaboration of Raye and Hans Zimmer.
There is also a song called Mother Nature back from 2023. 😊
